Ok Guys, here goes something unusual.
Study the attached photograph carefully. There is something very unusual about it. Can you tell me what it is? Short answers only. The picture is original and not altered in any way. Even though everything looks normal, it is NOT. Identify what is abnormal in this picture. Think out of the box and let your imagination fly................. ???
Contest closes at 8pm tomorrow, unless we have a winner before that.
Winner gets a Zephyr Catapult Balsa Glider kit shipped free from my side to any address in India.
All the best! :thumbsup:
VC
Attaching a picture of the Zephyr Kit - 37 cm + Polyhedral Wingspan / Fuselage 39 cm.
Very cool contest! {:)} {:)}
Do you have a Higher Definition version to study more carefully?
Here's a wild guess... Some of the trees in the background look like people?
Is it a painting ?
Is this similar to the Spot the Heli contest...also could you please be more elaborative on the word "abnormal" like are we trying to spot something here or is this one of those illusion pictures..need to give some clue ;)
i think there is a house on coconut trees ;D a rough guess
There is a river flowing right in the middle of the village may be due to floods and the coconut trees in the background appear as if people are crossing the river on high stilts
I think I see two people in it :giggle:
No. It is not a painting. There is no illusion or spot something that looks like something else etc. There is NO trick involved here. I can't elaborate more without giving the game away. ;D
It is all natural yet we get to photograph something like this very rarely. The resolution is poor, perhaps, due to the unusual nature of the photograph! ??? :banghead:
Surely there is a river flowing right in the middle of the village due to floods
Ok VC,
Here goes
I see a kid running with his plane in the front ...trees
beat that
Thanks
Hellyflyer
Let me have a go
- its raining on the further half and dry where the photographer is
Must have something to do with the brightly lit sky (more like a "flash expanding out").
Oooooh, someone is close to nailing it!
I am just 5 posts away from my 1000th post - what a way to do it! :giggle:
Was it taken at night, under thunder light ?
let me have two guess
1) there is a coconut tree without leaves
2)far away the trees are affected by wind,near to photographer small trees n bushes stand still
there is a rocket in the background!
Hamaero WINS! {:)} {:)} {:)}
Guwahati was lashed by furious storms last night and there was a veritable barrage of lightning strikes. I waited patiently with the camera in pitch black darkness and was lucky enough to get this shot at 10:30pm, when night turned into day.
Thank you, VC sir
;D ;D ;D
very nice idea VC sir! :thumbsup:
and congrats HamAreo :thumbsup:
Not fair... I stepped out for a minute, and someone built upon my hint :giggle:
I was not joking when I mentioned a kid running with his plane
see the pic below...
Doesn't matter now ...it was like spot the heli contest. In this case it was spot the rocket.. nothing unsusual about the winners answer. (no offence meant to the winner)
as Nodbody could have guessed that this was taken at night.
this is a brilliant pic then VC! Post it on Smugmug/Flickr. Would attract similar applaud!
Even I thought what Divyam thought.It does look like two of the trees look like guys.Congrts Hamaero.BTW,was it a guess?I really can't tell.Let us have more donations like this.Cool picture.
congrats Hamhero {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)}
Thank you Prateek, Gandhar & Praveen

BTW,was it a guess?
Around 20 years back, I had built a small Light / Sound activated Camera shutter operating circuit for one of my friend.
With that Circuit, we could easily snap pics of Balloon bursting, Lightning Strike, Gun Shot, ect.
I just remembered that when Anwar Bhai mentioned "
brightly lit sky" and I keyed in
Sanjay
A huge Mistake.
Sorry I read another post and thought it was the winner's...Hat's off to the winner to think correct.
I take all my comments back :thumbsup:
Hellyflyer
wow brilliant pic there :) Which cam did you use by the way? And did you sit and wait and click this or did you use any additionals like mentioned above? And if no to the previous question i would love to know HOW MANY SHOTS DID IT TAKE TILL YOU GOT THIS??? :D

wow, its really great. was that circuit successful? did it snap exactly? the speed of sound is very less than the light, so the snap may be a little or far away from the actual happening of scene.
