Hello Guys,

I am an engineer by profession and aviation enthusiast. I am thinking of a product that needs to use a jet engines. (cant reveal the specifics). So i want to test a few for research purposes.

However, this will be a self funded project and not with any institution as such.

It'll be great if you could help me with a few things:-

1) Vendors in India

2) Any restriction in Buying jet engines or importing them from abroad

3)  What is the max thrust a small engine can offer (The ones used in RC jets)

Great to see someone interested in jet engine. Currently nobody sells jet engine in India. You can get it imported. there is no restriction in buying it unlike drones. But you will be charged 40% custom on it. These are costly machines and it become costlier after custom is levied.
As of, You can get 6kg to upto 40kg of thrust with these engines.
Keep us posted on your development. An jet engine enthusiast is what we all need.
