I have been presented this engine by my sister who bought it many years back for her son form India Hobby Center in Calcutta. The box says "K Mills 100" and "Aurora Motor Mfg Co P Ltd Calcutta India". It came with a balsa wood plane but that is junk as many parts are missing and so on.
Would very much like to start the engine it if it is possible. It looks like in mint condition.
Advise please.
1 cc Diesel
Where would one get the necessary fuel to start it? And also the method to start it?

You could get the manual from them
Adel in case you want to sell that engine, do let me know
Wow its a relic of rc.. :)
help me kickstart this engine please? first the fuel? and then the method?
I think it is .75 aurora diesel engine Mainly it is for free flight models. It runs on 50% Ether25% Kerosine@25%Castor oil.
What??
Fuel composition is 30-40% kerosene, 20-30% ether and 20 -30% caster oil.
It is a K Mills allright, and I would strongly suggest that you get an experienced help to learn to start it. Else in absence, though you may manage to get the fuel, you might end up breaking innards by mishandling
Here is mine, there are some difference in finish

A wonderful collection! What fun!
I also have this engine,my dad bought it for me back in 1995.. Still running ..
Do you make the fuel yourself or buy it? Also it would be great if you could put a video to show how you kick start it?
Once I had this engine. Bought from India Hobby Centre for a free flight model. Could never get it started. So finally took all my diesel engines to Mr Rishi of IHC who by that time was winding up his manufacturing unit and wanted me to return all of them as there was a demand by collectors abroad for these vintage models. He took all of my engines (control line diesels) and gave me a LA46 in exchange. We used to prepare fuel by mixing kerosene ether and castor oil in equal proportions. Mr K K Iyer is pretty experienced in handling diesels. He used to help me start my engines which I could never do on my own. So best of luck with your efforts.
One day, sooner or later,
Have to start this again...
Make a video of how to setcompression and needle...
BTW. Initially, equal parts ether, kerosene and castor oil.
Later you can switch to 50% kero, 25% ether, 25% castor oil
Presently distracted by too many electrics!
in the first picture - what is the device in the background
- a prop balancer ?
