Title: COX .049 engine head needed
Post by: Antriksh on March 27, 2018, 07:18:48 PM
Hello respected members.
I have this Cox engine for years but never used it.
I think it was used some 20 yrs ago.
Now I tried to start it but no success. I think engine head which has glow plug in it is not working.
Any solution to the problem will be appreciated.

Hobbyking has a replacement head for $8.95
And head for regular glow plug for 6.95

Before you order, check your glow.
DO NOT USE 2 volts. WILL BURN PLUG.

If it is over 20 years old wasn't it stuck?
Was it free enough to turn over?
Could be many little problems other than plug.

If you have the Cox wrench you can remove the head easily.
With nose pliers it can be done, but expect some damage to the fins.
What is the power supply you are using to power the plug?
