If looking for fuel for Nitro engines, try Radical Works at CP or RCSkyHobby at Patparganj. Pure methonal would be probably available at folks dealing with Lab chemicals - paharganj area for one.

I buy methanol from Rajiv Jain at radical works - its very cheap at 50-60 Rs a liter (maybe a bit more now) - add castor and you are ready to go!

you can get laboratory grade methanol at rs 180/litre its 99.99% pure

maybe a bit less that this....

Mr. Verma, by now I am sure you must be very confused with the prices mentioned by all.... to be very frank... each person has a different source of Methanol and the quality ofcourse differs... I know of places which sell methanol @ Rs. 45 also .... but it depends on
a) what your budget is
b) performance vs. price
c) your love for your engine .....

So you make the decision...best of luck

i can get methanol for Rs 40 - 50 only but as said above quality will differ.

Three and half decades ago I got a "K-150" diesel engine from India Hobby Centre (Kol) for my "Free-flight" Aurora model. The home made fuel (Solvent Ether +Kerosene+ Mobil) never could start the engine. At last the fuel sold by IHC did the trick. (Maybe there were some other parameters I should have checked) ! In those days, quality (of fuel ingredients) were not all a problem.
