Why you want to buy Sharma Engine? Why not MVVS diesel engine? If it is about price then okay.

Rajib,
i have flown and seen flying couple of them, be advised there is no muffler and the exhaust is on the other side of the photo, black spray of fuel and oil will come onto you and the aeroplane, sharma engine guys use a apron for flying, you might consider buying one of these, with the engine

I'm using Sharma Diesel engine since 1991 while I joined Air Wing NCC, even I've used Aurora engines. We used to use them for Free flight, Control Line Aerobatic, Control Line Speed models and even we used them on glider. NCC is still using Sharma Diesel Engines for Control Line Aerobatic models, because compare to Glow engines they have less power which is good for teaching flying to new NCC cadets. I love smell of Diesel fuel especially after burn smell but I really hate smell of after burn glow fuel. But it is true because they don't have any muffler so it makes too much mess so you're right about apron. ;D

:salute: Sharma Engines! Cant possibly get any more versatile. This is what I call versitality integrated with engineering! First you FLY and then you COOK and guess what? You still dont get mucked-up  ;D

contrary to common belief, Clinical Ether, Kerosene and Castor,,since when this concoction is called diesel ? :headscratch: Rudolf Diesel must be tossing in his grave

precisely my point, NOS is for cold countries, Sharma engine recommends not to use them here, (You can use it if you like)

I dont think so , I think he would be very pleased that his compression ignition engine is used in everything from GIANT ship engines to tiny model engines.....model engines will run without ether but have to be heated up first , the ether is an igniton improver , and being a two stroke without a sump . need oil for lubrication , kero being the fuel
The main advantage is the fuel economy , kero has a higher calorific value than petrol
I got an email from Mr. Sharma about the sale of his engines ......thanks again to everyone for your help

i am by no means belittling the engines, they are gr8 engines, in the category of being legendary, have spoken to Mr Sharma personally, will fly his gas engine soon and of course the OS 46 clone that they are going to come up with in the near future. His engines sells in UK like hot cakes, i guess. just that it is quite messy, that's all i meant

Hi Anwar, Sorry I could not respond to your email earlier as I was in India for the past 10 days attending a family wedding.
There was an accidental spillage of tea and the BB was out of action so no E-contact . Anyway, I hope Ian has sorted out his requirement, I called Vivek today but as he was driving, I could not speak to him.
I will talk to him tomorrow. I notice Ian has sorted it all out thanks to FBC.
Anwar, please will you upgrade SMAEP email add in the shop section as Vivek does respond to his emails regularly with me;

Hi everybody.....well things havent gone smoothly at all
Because I live in a small country town , it was a lot easier to send the money to MR Sharma using Western Union , which I did....however three times MR Sharmra tried to recieve the money from Western Union failed , they wouldnt give him the money claiming that only an Indian could send money to another Indian  , I was asked to change my name to an Indian name , which according to W/U is illeagle and they wouldnt do it
I actually rang W/U three times and they said that it was quite ok for me to send funds to MR Sharma and that would work , but still MR Sharma couldnt get it...................
So I had to cancel the W/U action and make a special trip to my bank (80km) and do a bank transfer , which by the way cost more ,  $30 AUD fees and is slower..........So I will never deal with W/U again , there are just too many rules about money sending in India , must be to do with your government economy
So now I wait to hear from MR Sharma about recieving the funds and shipment.................... :banghead:

I heard that in India we are allow receiving money but cannot send money. I never knew that we cannot even receive money if the sender is not Indian. I know some NRI sends money to their family through WU, but not sure about any foreigner sends money to India. I would like to know about this if anyone knows better about this subject.

I guess this was the reason:

QuoteMoney Transfer payments are reserved for private consumer use only and cannot be paid for commercial or business purposes, for purchase of property, or for investments.
If you send by to his name instead of business name then it might work, but I'm not sure.
