How do i ship fuel.
I want to send 4L can from Delhi to TN.
My courier guy never checks whats inside the packing so i thought of sending it by regular courier (through air) but then someone told me it can be held at the security checks at  the airport!
Is that true?
The courier guy gave me another option to ship the item (i told him that fuel was actually a lube mix) through surface route.
What do you folks think should be the best option?

sravan

Send through surface. It will go. DTDC surface. They take 5 kg and above for surface!

pravesh736

i remember reciving fuel form hyderabad to bangalore via bluedart ..

himank

I am told to say them that it is some lubricant and not fuel.
Are liquids allowed through surface couriers?

sravan

Yes liquids are allowed. Just say its lubricant. If u say fuel then these will apply there own mind nd they will think for 2 hours . If fuel ships in US by ground why cant it ship in India. Make sure the fuel is properly sealed.

Cardboard box packing is fine? Should i use dtdc or any other service?

Guys

More then business and money, FLIGHT SAFETY comes first. So if you all love aviation, respect what you need to. Send it by surface. No lies, no problems.....

Just a suggestion. No offence.

You can trust the radio so much until your first crash with it.

himank

Totally agree, but what service for surface should i use?

SphereHobbies

You might like to use Express post parcel. This by Govt of india and parcels are sent via railways. They also provide tracking.

Good luck.

Better to not lie about contents.

Fuel gets shipped all over India, and I don't think it involves falsification of contents as a norm.  Just use the legal/sensible option.

Can I take fuel with me to other places via train.?

shobhit17

Well... all modes of transportation say a big NO to transportation of fuel.... or any thing inflammable... if caught by the authorities one can get on the wrong side of the law.... better learn how to mix fuel yourself and do that for all your needs.  It is not difficult.... if you have any trouble... ask anyone of us.... we will help and also tell you where to buy the ingredients...  As a responsible citizen never turn your back to the laws...... for instant call up Mr Vivek Sharma of Sharma Models to know about what fuel to use and how to mix it.... These guys make engines both diesel and glow ones and can direct you the best possible way.
Well I been into aeromodelling since I was in School....  and then been in the air for over 30 years.  Now looking to be back into aeromodelling full time...
