i want smoke on my YAK setup with asp 52 engine,
suggest some and also where do i get it in India ?
Just light it up and let it burn... ;D ;D.. you will get lots of smoke.. :D
Frankly, I have not used a smoke system before, but I made a crude setup to try it out with vapourising coils in the muffler of my 108 size engine. To be honest, 52 size does not produce enough heat to vaporise/burn the smoke fuel. I tried 50% deisel and 50% kerosene. Its should work. If you want thicker smoke increase %age of deisel.
I also tried some experiment with potassium nitrate + charcol (ya, black powder) but it gets way too hot to handle in a model airplane.

Ismail,
Just add in sulphur there and you have powder for a rocket and BTW the gunpowder composition is not very different from this too
8-) 8-) 8-) 8- on one side Govt. want to stop Aero modelling, by claiming it to be a threat and here you ppl are talking about the magic Powder.
Well increase charcoal content so that it wont make noise...
is there any electric version of smoke device avaiable ?
as far as i remember its available in market. anyone has some info abt it ?
you could make a small bomb dropper and put colored powder there.... =D
happy flying ,

There are pyrotechnic candles available which when used with fuse will give you smoke but the down side is that once lit it is not controlable and in case of malfunction your entire aircraft could be smoking
