Congrats.
Engine looks great. Instructions and warranty are nice.
Wish the engine a long life.
Can you believe that this company makes multi cylinder radial engines?
And i had never heard of it till someone mentioned it on this forum!

sahilkit

Thank you K K Iyer. Yes i'm aware of the multi cylinder radial engine and have been following there progress since start. Warranty is for 1 year (limited) and paid Rs 2687/- shipped which i think is a steal.

UMS25 Rs 2215/- + 14.5% CST Rs 321/- + Courier charges Rs 151/- (Via DTDC Lite Air and fast)

Sanjay after reading instructions my head started to spin. I'm not giving up at, will do a bench setup to break-in the engine  ;)  Cox engine is starting to look like a electric motor in comparison to proper glow engine tuning  >:D.........may be because i'm new to this tuning 8-)

Planning to start working on the engine this Weekend. Some pics till then  :)

You break-in an engine well and it will never guve up on you . My 9 years old os .46 AX still starts with a single flick and has a great low range , i have almost 5 NIB engines with me (i dont fly nitros much) will find some time one day and break-in all of them . Best of luck

You will be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to start and break in a new glow engine. Just follow the instructions; also do have a quick read on an OS (eg) 46 AX - go to http://manuals.hobbico.com/osm/46ax2-manual.pdf and browse through it

sahilkit

sanjay took a print out of the manual and give it a good read.

sahilkit

Well sanjay bearings would have been nice but considering the price i doubt it. Let see how this whole experience un-winds.

Hi Girishsarwal

Thanks for helping on the fuel part, i don't know if its a air-bleed carb but the instruction provided with the engine does mention of air-bleed screw for high-low rpm setting  :).

That engine is a copy of the OS LA design down to a T (or should I say A?). Absence of ball bearing is in a way good, as these do tend to rust. The bushing assuming it is bronze bushed will last a long time, use 20% castor oil, break it in gently and you will have a long lasting engine.
Are the piston cylinder steel or ABC?
Don't know if any one else noticed the blooper in the parts listing :) :)

sahilkit

Hi,

Good to hear from you :) . I think its ABC piston and awesome man (sharp eyes) spot on cylinder head diagram is missing  {:)}  :giggle:

I'm at to get the props and stuff but made the fuel and had run through my cox sure start.

Could be ABC or ABN, it is easier to manufacture than a great fitting  honed steel cylinder and piston set.
You can check by placing a small magnet next to the piston from exhaust side to check if the piston magnetic material or not
