I had bought the AP 0.15 from HK yet to be mounted on a model. AP 0.09 is gusty's. which is one of the very nice small engines. easily starts with just hand flick of the prop. has good power too. Not really measured the RPM with Prop sizes next time we run it, will update some more info.

Yesterday we mounted the AP 0.09 on one Gusty's foamy piper cub bought from HK. The ARF was itself very nice made of EPS and with all necessary hardware, excluding electronics. The piper was meant for electric but we mounted the AP 0.09 on it . Engine started with some effort because not run for some time, and cold climate. However once started it just continued till tank empty like a charm.

Maiden may be tomorrow.

Gusty would request you to do the honors of posting the photographs and video clip please.

PS : we were early for the sweepstakes. now we have to build one more I suppose  ;).

head tilt to blame :giggle:
Gusty's Hangar and Introduction.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Head tilt is only with me Gusty. Yours is "never in the frame" Photographer struggling to keep up.  :giggle:

Yes Sir I have really started loving the way IDOL is flying. Thats why making one more model like the one above with cox.

Today we flew IDOL in some wind condition too. it was fantastic.

sanjayrai55

Fantastic. Btw, do you use nitromethane in the fuel? Cox used to teccomend a high %age

Talking nitromethane.
You borrow from Gusty ten times as much as i borrow from Harveer!

Incidentally, when we were running Cox Babe Bees, we hadn't even heard of nitro!
We just ran 80:20.
One 3 in 1 can of fuel lasted one entire Sunday! Whether C/L or FF

@wingmanbunty
What do you want to buy?
Cox engines?
There is a long history. You can find it on the net.
Try. You will enjoy.
We got our first Cox .049 in 1968-69.
Still have 1 or 2.

K K Iyer

@sundaram sir,
$60-90 for a Babe Bee? Wow.
I think i'll just stick with my 40 year old originals.
That always turned 6x3s without nitro as we never had any.
Even flown RC single channel with a tired .049 turning a Tornado 7x4 after lot of persuasion.

Found some props.
But where, oh where are my beloved Cox's?
Mills 0.75 waits in her plastic bag for some diesel fuel to turn up...
