I am confused about what is "cheap" about these planes ?  This is a 50cc plane without engine etc.  Similar things are available for lower price at RCDhamaka (and possibly other stores) :headscratch:  And you save on all the import headaches and wait times ??? I would guess the quality is also better.

Tell you what... buy the 26cc Petrol Engine Made in India from Aeromodelsupermarket.com at Rs 16000 and add it to this model... lol

No duty no fuss, no running in either. Engine will be with you within 2 days...

They even run all engines before shipping out, not just that even supply you with the engine mount.

Hi ,

Check this HK,PRICED AT $130,just came across it on the hk site

FTL26cc Gas Engine

Unique and quality features which make this an outstanding engine are;
Walbro carburettor. Easy to tune, instant throttle response.
CNC Milled crank-case. Precise, light weight yet strong.
CNC Lathed prop shaft. Light weight yet strong.
CDI system. Electrinic Ignition makes starting a breeze!

The exciting thing about gas motors such as this one, is that they improve with age, giving increased power output. Treated well, these engines will last for many years.

Spec.
Displacement: 26cc
Weight: 920g (w/ spark plug)
Carburettor: (Walbro) Diaphragm & Butterfly valve.
Prop Speed: 1800 ~ 10000rpm
Max power: 1.45PS
Suggested prop: 17x8, 17x10, 16x8, 16x10
Ignition: DC-CD (6v only)
Mixture: 28:1 to 40:1
Bore/Stroke: 34x28mm
Size: 130mm high / 120mm wide*
Mount hole: 64mm x 64mm

This motor will suit most planes designed for a 26cc or 1.20 engine. The motor is compact, light and will fit inside most cowls designed for these types of motors.

Note.
All motors are tested, tuned and broken in for 7 minutes at the factory and will smell like gasoline when you receive it. This is normal.
We stock all parts for this engine.

Hi Peter, Couldnt open the link at HKing/ HC.. Looks like they have substituted it with another. Yes this is cheap but what about duty and freight and then the spares???

crazy_Roller

Avoid Chinese because they can make you hard to get its parts.

Exactly...
I was also wondering has anybody had an experience of importing a high value item such as this engine or a similar DLE or Desert Aircraft engine from Hobbycity or anywhere abroad?
Have they completed the formalities at customs ?
Please can you share your experience with us so we can debate whether to buy Indian version by Aeromodelsupermarket??
