My warbird, Decided to savor the build therefore took some time to build, yet to maiden,
quality of Oracover, balsa, instructions were top of the line.
A few build points to remember
1. the new type control horn requires some sawing and sanding as it obstructs controls at extreme throw angles
2. the retract is not meant for the plane, it is too long need to saw it off, not an easy task, as the retract are made of tempered steel.
3. you can make a mistake in fixing the Emphanage, be careful, i used Wonder tape 5 mts and glue and of course fevicol for bonding, bonding looks good
4. Used silicon grease to reduce the control rod resistance inside the snake
5. used Futaba 3003
6. used magnum 52 4S, base to prop was 10 mm more so moved the stabilizer out by 4 mm (There is a gap between LE of the stab and the fuse)
7. going to mix aileron as it does not have a flap, worried about 'how much sub trim' any ideas?
more thoughts to come
Pic 1. the Kit
Pic 2. Servos in place
Pic 3. Sawing off the Retract (Didn't work had to take it to my workshop)
Pic 4. Retracts and retract servo in place
{Emphanage the entire tail section, Fin, Rudder, stab, elev, V tail etc) (Let me look up the jargon list if not will add it)} Clarification due to a query, people who know it, do not smirk ;D

Hi Augustinev,
Thats an ASP.52 rite ? Can you pls let me knw from you got it and the price ?
I plan to buy this later..
Loving the spitfire..It seems you have a lot of kits to build..
Happy Flying
Guard her with all you've got WingCo! I'm comin' to take her away! What a beauty!
You will find that performance with the 52 would be marginal. You would need atleast a 70 size 4T for proper Spitfire like performance.
And God forbid, if with that 52 you require nose weight to balance her out
FBC
my worry too, as it is she is 10mm longer in spite of maxing out on engine mount, moved the stab back a little (4mm) , fingers crossed. pray for the maiden, it is this week, contemplating on swinging 12x6, sub trim for the aileron is another area of concern, should i go Y cable for the maiden ? your advice
Cessna RTF (Doesn't belong here, i see pravin has taken it out of site, so that's all the space it gets)
Radio is any day worth the money, ac is very forgiving, my son flies it, more like yells papa out of control
VC,
All yours any day, anything for the museum
That 52 will swing a 12x6 with ease, but you should be looking for more speed for Spit.
A 52 4T is more like a 40 2T powerwise.
Sorry but did not get the question on aileron sub trims part. What's the issue there?
if i do a flap mix, will i require to fine sub trim the aileron to avoid roll with flaperon switch on, is it advice able for maiden, or should i fly it stock. will it land easily without flaps.
You see my worries for the night ???
I would suggest you make the first flight without the hassles of the flap etc. Once established, you can play around.
Most of these ARF scalish jobs, are designed to fly well and they do so even without the aid of flaps or other lift enhancing devices.
got it, good night
beautiful..when is the maiden kindly post videos too
Why should it roll with flaperons?
my cessna does, inspite of fine subtrimming in my radio, can't place my finger on it. working on it
