Sure it takes skill to fly a turbine RC jet...but it takes even more skill and experience to be able to deal with things when they go wrong. Here Mick Burrell's Hawker Hunter suffers an engine flameout part way through its demonstration flight at the Southern Model Show. Other RC pilots would panic...

Really kept his head  {:)}

Saw a guy lose a beautiful twin engine scale executive jet, maybe 15 odd feet long, to a flameout at a meet some years ago
