Gorgeous! Looking forward to the rest of the build photos and video.
I had enjoyed my Hots, though from a kit in those days. thrill to fly.

Did some work on the tail. Cutting square sections using a MAS balsa stripper is still a pain ;)

Coming along wonderfully ! Once all the parts are ready to cover, would be a good benchmark as what each part weighs before cover.

Thanks FF. Yes, that is a good practice :)

I had built the hots back in 2002 a very famous and different looking model.. there were many different sizes of Hots designed by Dan Santich.
Just a quick search on Outerzone throws up 6 different Hots models by Santich!

Bhupinder Bamrah in Punjab has recently scratch built this wonderful Super Hots XL

I had partly built this (Hot Hots) before I gave it to a friend

Looks like a control line model .
@sanjayrai55,
Rai saheb,
A joy as usual to see your builds.
Wish more members posted build logs.
Would there be any interest in a build log competition? Most popular decided by members' poll?
Anyway, you have motivated me. I'll post a log of my as yet unflown Royal Coachman.
BTW, Mr Bamrah's Super Hots is immaculate !
Regards
Iyer
Fantastic! I was waiting for the build log of the Royal Coachman :thumbsup:

I'm building this with Fevicol SH, so it's a slow, lazy build
Slow, but strong for sure. Quite sand able. I too use an equivalent one called Titebond here.
Titebond is a little faster than Fevicol. It's easily available here, but costs 10 X of Fevicol!

That turned out to be much nastier than I thought! CT Scan and tests showed a fungal infection in the Sinus Cavities which had gone into the lungs. One lung was functioning only 52%. Had to have an immediate surgery
Anyway, better now, so back to the build!

@sanjayrai55
Sir, any particular reason for center section sheeting grain being chordwise instead of spanwise?

No particular reason except material availability (2.5 mm sheet cut-off) The plans also show it like that
The sheeting is non-functional - only the cover for the servo compartment. It is to be fixed with a few small screws
Sirji, no update in over 2 months...
Yes sir. I have been lax
I haven't been flying since March also, but that's because of health reasons
Hope to start everything soon ;D

Sirji,
I must say your balsa looks much better than mine.
And so does your workmanship :)

Iyer
You are kind
