My old Spadstick ( http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/spadstick-electric-(full-size)/) finally died. My own mistake, pilot error. Was taking a slow turn in a very high crosswind, and it tip-stalled from 30 feet under power nose down ;D
Since it was such a favourite, I just had to build a new one, but I wanted something a little different. So chose this. 52"span, 1.75 Kg AUW, 32 ASP engine, fully symmetrical wing (the Spadstick is flat bottomed)

Was thinking of thermocole wing tips, covered with diluted epoxy, putty, then oil paint, but thought it was too much work! So just used thick vinyl

Maiden was smooth. Needed some left trim - you can see in the maiden video it swerved to the right immediately it lifted, but that was all
A very sweet flying model, sporty, yet stable. Handles very well in wind, and slows down beautifully for landing

@sanjayrai55,
Sir,
That you could build a plane this size in only 1.75kg is a valuable lesson for aspiring model builders...
Regards
Iyer sir, I think the original Great Planes version (in balsa) is about the same weight also

That gave me a reason to go through the wonderful earlier build log, and enjoy seeing all the steps and details once again.
Cheers
Thanks Iyer sir
