today, did the maiden flight of a scratch built High wing trainer, with ASP 52 Engine, Excellent flier, good roll rate, superb glide, semi symmetrical wing, issues like low tail clearance and prop clearance is being addressed, my son shot the video, there is only engine noise in that, no aeroplane in there, there fore only the pics. Notice the aileron is on the leading edge ??? sons photography, decided to leave it like that for the sake of humour,

She flies so steady that, after trimming the radio was kept on the ground, to prove that it is flying by itself. very agile in aerobatics, ASP 52 is extremely overpowered.

{:)} looking great...wots your suggestion for an ASP engine as compared to OS Max. I know OS is considered as top quality but do you think ASP is value for money :)... I am asking because I am planning to buy one ASP 52. (I already have one OS-46). Any problems you like to mention with this engine.

i am using ASP 40 25  size to 120 size, couple of OS, gassers like Zenoah , Melody and DA, no issues there, i think it is how well you take care of those babies, people say i am obsessed with fuel filtering thing, as per me, 10 micron filter is order, then may be this fuel filtering bullshit doesn't matter, it is just that i am plain lucky, don't know ;D

thanks, inspiring words...actually i was confused due to mixed response on ASP's reliability but you've very rightly mentioned..taking care of these engines properly matters a lot.

One frustrating evening. All day long, I had planned to meet Gusty at Guwahati and spend the evening with him. Now that he is here, I can't meet him as  I am not allowed to drive for some time due to a temporary medical affliction. Just our luck that the good WingCo could get in touch with me well after I had given up and allowed my chauffeur to retire for the day. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

P.s. Lovely model Gusty. Miss your company, wish you were here.

Only plan is the wing plan, hand drawn, I can send you a pic of that, best thing to do, I  am thinking of doing is to put up  a thread on how to scratch build a high wing trainer, I have, in this move already cut out the wood( not balsa, it is made of plylite and japonica (indian balsa)) I shall , as soon I settle down put up this thread,
If u are starting, I would suggest start with foam or Coro
