Just got my package containing the lancair 360/MK2 from FLYRC.The package was well packed and the shipping was super fast, their support team is also very helpful. The model is made by CMPro and the build quality is excellent. {:)} :salute: The fuse and wingtips are entirely made out of fiberglass and the rest is balsa. Oh and the plane is really BIG.
Cant wait to start building the model, will have to wait for the engine though.
For now, here are some pictures of the plane.
Thanks and Happy flying

Beautiful Model.
Suday 20/12/2010 was a Totally used For Building My Lancair
Here are a few more Updates
we required a lot of time to fix the engine mount :headscratch: Plan had for a 46 and i had an asp 52 , Though Not Much of a difference but had to :banghead: for the Mount to fit in
The toughest part was to neatly cut the cowl coz the silencer had to fit in and It consumed a lot lot lot of efforts
All the Effortless work we had preciously was tallied By this one Thing
Now i need Some suggestion
Can we used the Car wax Poll to Polish the Plane :headscratch:
Or Should we use the methane ?

Wax Poll... :giggle:
no Offense dude ;D.. I know it takes a hell of an effort to build such beauties and you never want to take it off as you dont want it to get dirty.... ;) But trust me ... first flight - and you will have oil sputtering out from your exhaust (running rich - new engine) and the whole model will be covered with soot and oil. That is normal. I know it pains to see, but thats what these models are meant for. You may try to deflect the smoke using a deflector but no matter how hard you try, the model is bound to get oily and dusty. :)
Just for get about polishing the plane... just wipe it with a little surf water post flying session and close the exhaust using a silicone cover... Thats about it...
ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR MAIDEN !!!
Go electric for a cleaner RC experience.
Yes you can use waxpol, but test a small area for effects of raw and burnt fuel. Especially if you use any percentage of nitro. No reason why you can not if the fuel does not wash off that polish
I have used waxpolish on control line speed models, but that was not to make them look shiny but in an effort to reduce skin friction.
when is the maiden flight ? waiting for you input to start building mine :help:
