Mike brought in another of his scratch built planes, a bipe built from a Brian Taylor plan.  Built over the 8 years from 1993 to 2001 

It was flown from 2001 until 2003 and then was not flown for the last six years, until last week.

Beautiful... if that word can describe it all !  The stupid cell phone camera could not do justice to it at all.

It is just plain boring dusty desert !   

In fact many heli fliers bring in a mat (one creative guy brought in a big white-board) as a landing/take-off pad, so that the amount of dust whipped up and getting inside the model is minimized

We do have a good proper field, but it is a bit too far.

I have nothing to do with it, except being fortunate enough to be able to admire its beauty in person and appreciate (or salute) the efforts of Mike who built it

And I do wish that you have the patience and drive to build one like that
