Title: 450ProTT - Belt Drive conversion
Post by: merin_83 on March 21, 2012, 09:35:42 AM
My 1st heli,1st day, small crash :(

hi, guys, i tried my HK450ProTT today, every thing was nice and stable, untill i lost the concentration and did hard landing from about 3 feet, and it was a grass lawn. There it goes, my 2 umbralla gear in the tail boom block stripped off. :banghead:   :(  ....

then i did search and found the problem, it was not majorly of the hard landing, but with the torque tube, many say that the gears strip down even with grass hitting the tail, in my case it was 2+ inch of lawn :( .

How can I do a belt drive conversion ? Please suggest. (At least i can till the time i become comfortable with flying.)

IIRC, Entire tail assembly - Starting from the tail gear onwards would needs to be changed to convert to belt.

Hobby King

HK450GTPRO Tail Boom Holder Assembly set (Belt Version)
SKU: GT450proG003B

GT450PRO Metal Tail Rotor Assembly (Belt Version)
SKU: GT450pro-G003

Check whether Torque Tube  frame is compitable with Belt Drive.
