Title: Align T-Rex 500 Torque Tube And DFC Conversion

Hi Guys
Just received my parcel after 3 month EMS Customs and that also when i went there Personally with the documents  :banghead:
Still the air parcel guys are troubling me with the other parcels .

I shifted to Torque tubes system last year on the 450's and found lots of improvement in flying performance . It was affordable too.
So bought the TT and DFC kit for 500 now . Less friction , less heat , more efficiency , Batteries come down more cooler etc

I only thing i'm worried about is how long the TT gears will hold on Touch downs  ??  They gave the new BLACK gears which i think is of Mod 0.7 , so lets see. I think all 500 owners have touch down problem as the blades have only 1.5cm clearance .

I thought the TT system will come with 2 Bearing inside the boom but no , it came with 1 Bearing . Not a problem

Comes with
●Metal tail unit set x 1
●Torque tube drive set x 1(Φ5xΦ6x467mm)
●Torque tube drive bearing holder x 1(Φ14.5x7.5x10mm)
●Tail boom mount set x 1
●Vertical stabilizer mount x 1
●Tail Boom x 1(Φ15xΦ16x461mm)
●Pin x 3(Φ1.5x8.8mm)
●Bearing MR128 x 4(MR128)
●Bearing MR106ZZ x 1(Φ6xΦ10x3mm)
●Bearing 684ZZ x 4(Φ4xΦ9x4mm)
And all screws etc

Note :
For clone owner , Please make sure that you cross check all tail components with your old ones.
The Hiller Etc clone's Control arm (L-shaped) are almost flat and can't be used with this kit.
So you need to get new one . AGAIN we don't need 500 PRO parts , only the ESP parts are compatible  
I didn't had the Control arm and the blade grips so i ordered them again from Infinity Guys via DHL

Amazing service I must say , Very co-operative and answers the Mail fast

The DFC head comes with

●500DFC Main Rotor Head Assembly x 1
●500 Feathering Shaft Sleeve x 1
●500 Damper rubber x 2
●500DFC Main Blade Grip Arm x 2
●500DFC Main rotor grip arm integrated control link x 2
●500DFC Main rotor grip linkage bearing sleeve x 2
●682ZZ Bearing(Φ2.5xΦ6x2.6mm) x 4
●500DFC Linkage rod A(M2.5x12mm) x 2
●600PRO Elevator ball link x 2
●500DFC Main Shaft x 1

Note : Still requires the Thrust Bearing , Feathering shaft and the Align Main Blade Grips from the old head

I didn't had the Align Grips as I had Tarot Head installed . I used my old Thrust Bearing , Feathering shaft etc.

The DFC main shaft (Included) is shorter then the normal shaft which makes the heli look low profile . The gap between the blade grip and anti-rotation is just 1cm approx  ;D

Here's the 500 Running on TAROT FBL head with Robird System and The belt casing .
It's pretty old but works fine .

As i said i'll have to use the old thrust bearing , feathering shaft etc .

Then you can use CA to mount the bearing on the tube or use tape .

The tape will avoid movement of the bearing.
Need to find proper CG on the tube to avoid Vibrations and yes re-lubing  .
And then spray Silicon oil inside the boom and slide the tube in

Comes already assembled but no threadlock , so definitely threadlock them.
The Gear feels sturdy . The best upgrade i think Lol

I think we can use the Dual pitch Slider too with this Tail case but i'll use the old ones.

The Control Arm I'm using is of 500 Pro which causes little binding at the corner near the tail grips.
I avoided that using the limits . I'm using 3 washers for smooth transition
