hello,
i am from gujarat,

i am looking forward to ugrade from 4ch FP to a 6ch CP. after reading many threads i concluded that i should start with a 450 class heli.

my main doubt is that if i buy esky belt cp v2 or walkera v450d03 , shall it escape customs?, do i have to pay customs duty/ any certificate/miscellaneous taxes or proofs ? do customs detain such parcels which contains a 450 class heli. i have previously ordered many helicopters from china but they are micro FP/CP helis ( wltoys v911, syma 800g, syma s107g and v922). one of my rc planes(yak 54) were detained by ahmedabad F.P.O and they asked for 10k (duty + penalty) which was double the price of the item.i wrote them saying it to return it. they sent it back saying it 'illegal' to seller and i got refund after a month.

regards

saikat

If you are buying an RTF package - then it will be detained

A kit along with electronics - very unlikely.

Try RC bazaar - they stock 450 helis and are in India

what if i order a not assembled kit w/ tx and rx?

Shannon

u wont have problems just get the kit separate and electronics separate build it ur self never get a rtf unless its a fixed pitch heli

+1 to Shannon.

Rest depends on your luck. People have got 550 size helis without any probs.

Make a try. I have got mine a year back from hk w/o any problem. If they detain then even there will be 45% of duty at max.

I'll give it a try most probably. Although I am reasearching that I find a good one in india itself, here , I have have seen sellers which 'overprice the item' . Although I have funds but I dont like to overpay for anything.

Dear gajjark,

Was it a rtf heli or you bought a kit?

VC

Well, I paid more than the actual price to get my HK V2 kit released from Calcutta Customs. Have you seen the Hiller offers on www.rcbazaar.com? I think they are more than reasonable.
