Castor Oil vs Synthetic Oil for Glow Helis

Hi All,

Which is better Castor Oil or Synthetic Oil, and for what reason ?

I will say synthetic because it keeps your engine cool & clean performance is great & if the engine it tuned right you will have almost no dead stick... The synthetics are specially blended & made for the model engine purpose, you can find many articles on the net related to the synthetic oil not only for helis but for any rc application.

I use a mix. 50-50 mix of synthetic and castor. Never had any problems.

Use Klotz 200. You will get it from Radical Works - Rajiv Jain in New Delhi .

I remember some one from Chennai has made a synthetic oil & also started selling, has anyone tried it? I don't remember the name of the brand.
