Just flew this thing at my brother's place... he was using it to train his son on heli flying.

This product is worth the money, but the advantage is somewhat compromised if you include shipping.  The flight times are pretty good.

Nice product overall !

A man, new in town, checks out a hotel and finds the rates too high - nothing below $500 per night. Frustrated he goes to another hotel across the road and is pleasantly surprised to find similar rooms available for $100 only. Whats more they also offer free golf classes to all guests. He is delighted and checks in.

The next morning, finding himself with nothing much to do, he enrolls for the free Golf classes. His golf being rusty, he manages to lose 5 balls, however, he has a blast at the course and is also treated to a beer by his hotel caddy.

That evening as he checks out, he is shocked to find that he has been charged $ 1100 for the night! He splutters in disbelief that there must be some mistake and that he could have had a similar room at the hotel across the road for less than half the billed amount.

The concierge gives a wry smile and says," Sir, perhaps you didn't read our Golf agreement carefully - while the course is free, we charge $200 per ball. While the other hotel charges you by the night, we charge you by the balls."

You can't beat the system - The Heli weighs 24 grams and they charge you @ 634 grams for shipping?!  :banghead:

Nice story... but age seems to be catching up with VC, when it comes to math ;)

Obviously, the heli packing with the included transmitter etc cannot be 24grams ! It is 634grams (heli, transmitter and basic thin packing), and they add another 183gm for the cardboard packing used for shipping.  They have done their marketing crap on "we are not responsible for the weight of cardboard" a long time ago !

A single 1cell lipo used by the heli weighs 24gms !

Has anyone tried these in person ?

The HK one was ultra stable, it would pretty much stay where we put them in the air, which makes it very good for first time flights (for young kids).  The co-ax seems to help with that.  Wonder if the non co-ax version is just as good.
