Hi All,
Iam new to RC.
Has done on building SPAD couple of years back, But not able to fly.
Started once again Now
I have got a new kit on Mini titan ARF,
My motor not starting, dont know what might be the Problem
Have 7cap futaba
Can some body please help
Thanks in Advace
Have you reversed channel 3 (throttle) ? For Futaba electric setups, this is a must.
If you have not done it, reverse channel 3, turn off the power on the heli side, and turn on the power again (I guess by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery).
THanks for the reply,
Should I do that on the Tx
Absolutely !
As in page 30 of the manual here :
http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/7c-2_4ghz-manual.pdf
Thanks Anwar,
I have attached the Photo of my Mini Titan,
I have custom painted my canopy
Good to see the DIY person in you is still alive. What paint etc did you use ?
Bosny Aerosol Spray cans
First did wet sanding with 400 grit ( did for lot time)
Then again washed with pril in warm water, dried it using a hair dryer,
The two coats of Primer ( Aerosol Cans)
Did little bit sanding and Painted it with two coats and lastly with clearkote, my second job with spray cans.
Hey where do u stay?
Hi Vinay,
I stay in Indiranagar near domlur flyover.
Hi Anwar,
Tried reverse for the throttle still didnt work
Any other things i have to check.
Make sure that the ESC is initializing and you hear the required beeps if not try to calibrate your throttle, We will be able to give a more specific answer to the issue in hand if you did the following:-
1. Post the specifications of the ESC and Motor and confirm that the you have checked all loose connections, dry solder's etc
2. Post a video of what exactly is happening.
Hellyflyer
Hi Hellyflyer,
I used an ace RC BLC 40 came with kit, Tried calbirating but nothing happend after the intial sound,
All other keys work, when you move the throttle the swatch moves, but the motor doesnt spin.
Have you tried replacing the ESC?
No, this is the only one i have, and it is brand new
Try contacting me(jayanagar) or Ujjawal (Ujjwaana - Koramangala) directly on weekend, will solve it. Or Ujjwal may be able to help you out even before weekend, if you can take it to his place. He is a futaba guy. you just need to take ur ESC motor battery tx rx.
Thanks for the support vinay, I can contact Ujjawal, he is near to me, Can you ping me his no. through private message
Just make sure u update this thread once the issue is resolved, so that its helpful for others. ;)
Met Ujjwal yesterday, It was nice meeting him.
We tried every check possible, we have found the motor working by tests
and also the ace working properly,
But still not from the TX ???
"Throttle hold" or "Throttle cut" permanently engaged ?
I didnt get that anwar, still a newbie :)
This thing has something called as a built in ECCPM mixer on the Gyro (Takes all the inputs from the RX). Thats what ujjwal told me. Probably something to be disabled anwar and make use of the 7Cs built in mixing?
eCCPM mixing in the radio OR mixing in the ACE gyro unit... whatever it is, it should only affect movement of the servos.
So this seems to be either wrong wiring, or Throttle Cut, Throttle Hold etc enabled on the TX.
What vinay is talking about is TG-6100M Gyro
The details are in this link
http://www.tiger.com.tw/product/AQ0843.html
Yes, that is what I meant by the "ACE Gyro Unit" in my above post.
Wonder if Rajesh/RotorZone can spare some time to help with this in person ;)
PS: The easiest thing to do in this world is to "volunteer others" :giggle:
:giggle:
I Bought it from rotor,
So if rajesh can suggest, it will be great
Hi Satish,
As we saw that the ESC+Motor is all fine and when putting the Throttle Stick on either ends, it also gives a beep, why dont you try the Throttle reversing as Anwar has mentioned (Page 30 of the Futaba Manual). Just reverse the throttle (CH 3) and connect the LiPO to ESC.
Hi Ujjwaan,
I have already tried that and nothing happened, Infact yesterday when you tried it was in reverse
Are you careful about the position of the switches on the 7C TX ? Should not be an issue if throttle cut etc are correctly setup, but it would be a quick test. Can you remove the main blades, and try inreasing throttle with the switches at various positions ?
Also, I hope you have a valid throttle curve !
I have done that, tried various config, i have still not connect the blades to the motor,
I have got some points from the web about this gyro let me try that today evening
Anwar keeps associating me with mini titan though my only experience with it is setting it up for a friend once.

Think you are confusing Rotor and RotorZone. I'm sure I didn't sell to you. I'll not be in station till May. If you still haven't resolved it by then, you can bring it over.

"What man has done, man can do" ;D
Hi All,
Atlast i could get the motor running
I changed My radio to Airplane mode and it worked, I had changed it to Heli mode as is the practice. yesterday I had read abt this in some forum to try TG6100 on ARCO Mode
alas it worked
Thanks for all the support :)
how can u program all the heli features in airplane mod :headscratch:
That is what iam figuring it out, I will update once i do those

Please change it back to Heli, and set the swash type of "H-1". It is same as airplane, except that you will get access to throttle curve pitch curve etc. It is done from the PARAMETER menu. Remember that changing the type may reset all model settings, so you will have to do reversing etc again.
Hi Get_Sat
Did you finally manage to sort out your MT motor problem? I am really keen to know.
Regards
Pradeep
I think u have to program the ESC. Its very simple.
1) Disengage the motor from main gear.
2)switch on the transmitter with the throttle at maximum position.
3) Switch on the receiver with motor and ESC connected.( you will not hear any sound)
4) now move the throttle stick all the way down now you will hear the 4 beeps( tu tu tu tu)
now just leave the ESC to complete all other programs to be in factory settings. you will hear multiple beeps...do not touch the throttle stick unless u want to chage any of the factoiry settings
5) now the end points for the throttle are programmed for ur transmitter ,. now it sould respond to your throttle inputs.
6) try searching the the user manual for ACE RC ESC BLC 40 there its written clearly how to program the ESC
All the best.
For what my meagre experience is worth, I did not try to re-programme the ESC. Just connected everything up bypassing the gyro (except the rudder servo as I am not using the mixing function of the gyro). Needed to reverse the throttle settings though, and had to level the swash plate by re aligning the three servo arms. Programmed the throttle and pitch curves according to the MT booklet (beginners settings) and everything seems to function properly. No problems at all.
Now only a test flight will tell the whole story!
