i have 4 os50 hyper engine and one rl 53. all i can say is that the rl53 is a power horse.

but one bit of advise/suggestion for anyone using this big block -
initially i had a regular tt muffler on and it could not breathe. was diagnosed with pulmonary oedema :)
next i fitted a muscle pipe and it could not breathe again. was diagnosed with asthma :)
next came the hatori (i think the 522). could not breathe again. was diagnosed with pneumonia :)

since i had all these pipes lying around, i had the liberty to try them out. i tried changing fuels from fully synthetic to castor/synthetic mixes along with various ratios of nitro but had only bad news all along. was very difficult to tune. till one day hopelessly i was wandering on runryder.com that i came across a post of a flyer who had been thru the same pipes as me and he then got him self a redline muffler to match it. so i followed his experience and ordered mine. i couldnt believe the difference. seems to be as good or a shade better than my os hyper now. i have gone ahead and ordered another set of the motor and pipe for my other model  >:D have used complete synthetic and it screeches with a smile.
so go ahead with it but remember to use the motor/pipe combo else you will regret the potential of this motor.
you could purchase the pipe from rotorzone or rotor.co.in online.

enjoy

also let me add that the engine runs much cooler now and no hassles as far as tuning is concerned. i am a very happy heli soul now.

this was my personal experience with this motor and pipe.

however, i did have a bit of an emotional mishap when my redline pipe gave way midair. yep, it actually gave way by splitting into 2 halves. this happened on its 6th to 10th flight (approx). i got in touch with the seller and emailed the pics of the better halves  ;D . i have recev my replacement at no cost. so i am a happy heli soul once again ! but remember this can happen to any brand. there are flyers across the world who have suffered from this better half situation as well.

remember  - dont fly something you cannot afford ! cauz what goes up has to come down !   its true.

There is some discussion about 53 redline here :

http://www.rcindia.org/helis/thunder-tiger-raptor-50-titan/msg18089/#msg18089 (start with this post, there is some discussion from that post onwards).

Now everyone has moved on to the newer OS 55s on their helis, as they have even more power.
