Jackly... yeah I have 3 of such sets comes in different packing and size... but I hate it for the same reason.. cheap metal. He tried to sell me the same for 100 buck. Never tried the Gorilla.

You can hate for any reason   Question is... does it serve the purpose ?

One thing to remember is that a tiny bit of loctite is what should hold the screws in place, not the pressure of your arm

yep... I am using the medium strength blue loctite , what do you or others use?

That is the right loctite. The trick is to use bare minimum on the last 2 or 3 threads, and never to over-tighten the screws.

Anwar, I learnt it the hard way, some screw requires a little more loctite, head screws/tail boom screw, main gear jesus bolt etc, which cant be heated with plastic parts nearby.

Align driver worked well on the first go, but on the same HK screws 2nd or the 3rd time they stripped, due to size issue. No wonder why people complain about HK screw quality. coz most use align hex driver. On the other hand MIP thorp fits perfectly on HK screws and they work well on the same screws 3 to 4 times w/o issues. I will post the difference in the head pics once I reach bangalore.

BTW I maidened my 2 birds, one with HK401 and another with gy401(my first original gyro). What a difference. the GY was plug and fly. Just wondering how the quark mks8901 combo would be on the TT 450.

Hey BTW from the pics, the flybar weights should be on the edge(near the paddles) for beginners. Its stable there.

  Of course you get what you pay for ( 100). But I also hope you are building RC helis, not all terrain vehicles

So a quick fix for Jackly drivers... their metal is too soft that you can re-use its Hex bits atleast.
Take a metal file , one like this and keep filing it till the damaged part gets off... it was around 2 mins for me and I managed to fix all the damaged bits of Jackly. How kind they were to make it so soft :p

This was quick, relatively, and I had the postman at my doorstep in the morning with the package. First impression... sweet... very sweet. These are made in Taiwan and not china... fits on most of the screws fine the remaining very few seem to be wrong sized screws. I even unscrew all the screws from rotor head (one by one) and put them back in place with thread lock (one by one). The Align Hex driver working perfect.. no slipage yet... entire build is completed (well almost entire)

U can also give me a call.. I may be going out this evening with friends. Thread locking is the easiest part. U should always thread lock all the screws in the body after programming the head. If servos move at different speed its a nightmare to change.

Here is how it looks now and the transition..

I dont know how HXT 900 holds for the tail. People have found hxt 500 to be better than hxt 900 for the tail. This should be only for simple hovering.

I was planning a better servo for tail as well... just put it as I didnt had any other and was doing only testing. should I go for metal gear digital servo in back?

In the descending order of betterness:

MKS 8910 - wont work with HK gyro. need assan converter or a better gyro.
Futaba S9257
Align DS520
Turnigy DS480- recommended.
Henge 922

Cant find a Turnigy DS420... is that Align DS420 cause I can find that Please see if you can find a link over HK or some other place to buy. Should I also change the swashplate servos too ?
