Guys,

Been very busy with work all this time, but am back and have started working on the CH53.

Today I set up the gyro with the tail motor and ESC.

I am using a 40A ESC for the main motor,
25A ESC for the tail motor,
1000Kv BL tail motor and a 3700 Stock Belt main motor.
Tx is KDS K 7x and Rx is from HK
Gyro HK 401

What happens is :

Upon starting the Tx, the main ESC gets initialized, followed by the tail ESC, and the Gyro.
When I try applying throttle, nothing happens.
When I move the rudder stick to the left the motor spins up but when I move the rudder to the right, the motor is dead silent..again nothing happens..
Is ths normal?
assuming that because the main motor rotates CCW the right rudder does not spin but does it not have to spin as I throttle up ?
Will be giving in more info tomorrow as time is little.

again:

tail motor - not spining as I increase throttle.
only left side rudder makes the tail motor spin.

regards,

D

are your connections in place?... and firstly is the HK rx compatable with the KDS tx?... the main rotor rotates CW (viewed from the top)... and just interchange the two wires from the motor to the esc... (when you say the motor spins up and the tail is not rotating...) a vid of this would be great to check out what exactly is the main issue

Yes Sujju, a;; connections are in place. The HK receiver is compatible with the KDS tx.
The tail motor spins only if I apply left rudder.
Unfortunately, my camera is not with me right now, but I will give in much detailed info as soon as I can.

Yes This is normal, as the tail rotor baldes will only start to move once throttle has reached a certain point, you can adjust these settings from your 4 in 1 .The tail rotor speed is prop to your main rotors.

It is also a normal behavior of the tail rotor to only spin when left input is given as power is only required to counter attack the left rudder torque of the heli.
