Finally got the courage to fly a newly fixed walkera 1#a (my first ccpm heli), have owned this heli as my first hobby grade heli (straight after coax 3ch) for more than 2 months and all i was doing was reading/practicing on sim etc.
Today, i finally took the plunge and said "what the hell :)", took it out in my balcony with a space of 10ft * 8ft and powered up this beauty.
What a feeling it was, raising the throttle stick with nearly shaky hands, sound of the blades rotating at high RPMs and that wind it presses down. Man, just can't have enough of this feel.
Then slowly the heli became light on training gear and started to drift, oops, mus have missed couple of heart beats all together :)
Took a deep breath and pushed the throttle stick past 50% and the heli lifted in air with ease, hovered it for around 5 seconds before the whole feeling became difficult to handle and brought the heli back on the ground. Spent next 30secs with a little smile on face with a very satisfied feeling that my gosh, i finally took it off from the landing gear on my own, and another thought came up ... hover it longer.
Straightened the main blades, tail blades and pushed the throttle stick slowly past 50%, the same feeling of high bp, hands shaking, nearly dropping off the Tx :D
.... heli was in air, roughly 1.5 ft in air and hovered nicely for about 30 sec when i thought enough mate, i think you can't handle enough excitment for one day :)

Great Congrats! I know the feeling - its awesome!
Hi there, yes, very difficult to define this feeling in words :)
wait till you do you first loop or inverted hover ;D ;D ;D
he he ... i am waiting to get the 450 rtf in air to try out taxing things ... this walkera is too expensive to repair :) ;)
Excellent Good to hear that
I know the feeling, Congrats! Still waiting to fine tune my HK 450 to hover and then start building my Hiller 450. I will need a lot of help from you. All the very best!
PM me if you need any help, though I think I will be PM'ing you before that for advice. :giggle:
Congrats Dheeraj! Very brave of you to try it in a 10x8 space on a first flight! Is it about the size and power of a 250?
Hi Pradeep, thanks, its a 300 size heli, brushless motor, belt driven tail. All in all a very good heli (though not so popular).
Hi VC,
I would be glad to help anywhere i can, though i have only spent a couple of months in this and consider myself as a beginner:)

Ha Ha, second time it was less till the heli starting to move left/forward all of a sudden and i had to land it quicklly :) very hard to define that sudden rush that comes when you see the heli moving towards a concrete wall with very little to no time to react ..
Hey Guys, hovered my 450 v2 (rtf from rcbazaar) for almost 6 mins without landing in the same 10*8 space, i think the 450v2 is stable enough but the tail response is not good so far, what all settings should be looked at to increase the tail authority before looking at hardware (i have flysky 9x tx/rx)
