New Remote Control Helicopter Customers beware
Its is a peace of Scrap and crap. Don't waste your time and money on it. I am in touch with Multiplex USA for last four months. They are wanting me to be a ping pong ball. After four months they come up that india comes under Germany for service and support. As they have already replaced me with a high end and more expensive Gyro. Still the the helicopter does not fly. Have spoken to Mr Mike and Mr Shawn from Multiplex USA. As they have send me a mail stating the multiplex funcopter helicopter. Will not Hover well is meant for forward flight. They are only sending me video of funcopter flying on youtube. I have shown and even taken help form people who are flying only rc helicopter for last 10 years. As i bought the funcopter for my eleven year son who is flying airplanes for the last 4 years from electric to 20cc gas. I wanted him to learn how to fly rc helicopter. As i am flying rc for the last twenty five years. Have made more than fifteen heli till date i fly a Titan X50, Align 450, and 500. I my self is not abel to understand the funcopter. The helicopter that cannot hover how do you take off and land.
RCDhamaka are the dealers fot his heptr in India, i a sure they will be able to help you out, give them a holler

You saw it and decided it is crap ??? You just shot your mouth off or you own one and or flew one and or saw one flying
What is your heli experience? Do you have any idea of Multiplex Products?
Have you seen videos of Funcopter? Does it Hover? is it designed to hover? Or is it designed to do Rolling Take off and Landing (Like the real heli does in Hot & High conditions) ? Why is it named Funcopter ?
Like I said earlier, please give learned opinion, and blanket statement like this be better backed up by research and first hand experience
IMHO
:giggle:..gusty bhai... pls forgive him for their words
actually rahul mohan is my friend, i have setup their X50 & align trex 450, but when i saw multiplex funcopter, this machine is totally different, i spent some hours to setup fun copter but there was a big problem in gyro, sometime gyro it work sometime not.
secondly tail slider design need to rectify too.....& i think multiplex should replace this gyro & motor.

true, wish we could share Shawn's mail. Funcopter is fun copter because you dont need to know how to hover, he has been flying helis for so long, and he says this is one of the different helis he has ever seen / flown. doing rolling take off and rolling landing makes it more like a slow speed aeroplane than a heli, makes your rudder handling and aligning your aeroplane to the forward flight using rudder (Which is so important in flying helis) improves. personally it is fun to fly
Yes it doesn't behave like a heli in a classical sense
I could be wrong here but I think the helicopters gyro has only rate mode function and not heading hold mode... I have flown in rate mode many a times and sometimes it did behave funny in hover... But was perfect in forward flight... I suggest u give it a 6ft ground roll and do ur normal flying.... I did watch the helicopter video and too me it looks like pure rate mode... The cheap gyros behave funny in rate mode not the good ones
@ shannon, may be you are right, because i have no experience about this Fun Kind of heli... :giggle:
lets we will try it on rate mode.....

Laxman u have misunderstood me I guess I do not own one my experience with rate mode was with other helis n gyros.. I came this conclusion by watching the fun copters video... It looked like rate mode to me this y the funny behavior.. If possible try setting the tail pitch of set by 8 degrees it's solves all hover problems in rate mode :banghead: :banghead:
I watched a few more videos had a close up on the gyro it says headlock but while flying it behave like a rate gyro it does not hold the tail like head lock... If u can adjust the tail pitch to 8 degrees would be great and worth the try
