I bought a double horse 9050 a couple of days back. I haven't crashed it into any hard surface yet. But suddenly, the heli refuses to take off. The motors are working well( i think). Any solutions??? (I'm just a beginner to RC).

A video would help.. Take a video of the heli trying to take off.. Upload it on youtube and then post the link here..

Is the battery charged to full?
i charged it overnight. That doesn't seem to be the problem

Here's an image of the controller.

And the link of the video

I noticed that the lower blade is not spinning as fast as the upper one

Ah! I've seen this happening on Prateek13's Syma 9053.. One of the shafts is probably sliding up and the gear losing contact with the motor..

So how do i fix this

VC

No, I don't think that is the problem. I spoke with Ashwin and found out that if he holds the main gears tight, the lower blades can still be turned. That should not happen. The lower blade main assembly seems to have come loose from the co axial drive shaft. There is a play, which should not be there. I have the same problem with my Volitation, but there the upper blades are involved!

Ah! Prateek had that problem with the top blades too! The video for the fix is there somewhere on youtube..

Deja Vu - if you know what I mean. This is the exact method that I have employed to repair the Volitation and I am now waiting for the epoxy to harden. The only difference is that instead of a nail, I used a brass rod. I was apprehensive that I had destroyed the entire Heli in the process, but now I am sure this will work.

Medicineman, good job done finding the video. +1 to you! I wish I had seen it earlier, it would have made my life easier.

You know what?
Remove the main shaft completely out fom the heli(needs dis-assembling) then pull the main gears out and check if the lower gear has a slip, (Cheap Plastic gears) if yes, take the CF shaft and turn it upside down(meaning: interchange the tube ends, before trying to squeeze the CF rod into the gear, file around 5mm length on the tube end to make a lock.
Then press the gear to the CF rod and check if there is any slippage.
I hope you understand what I said..I had the same problem on my Apache co-axial..
Money flies when the transmitter is ON...

VC

The slippage is not between the drive gears and the shaft. It is between the upper blade assembly and the shaft. The Volitation does not have CF shafts. The video explains the problem EXACTLY. The only other solution that I can think of is drilling a hole through the plastic and the shaft, driving a rod through and through and biding them both with epoxy. Should not use a drill bit above 1.5 mm.

VC sir, even I was thinking of the drilling through method.. But then will need a vertical drill machine and some sort of jig to hold it in place.. Also a really fine drill bit..

I just received my horse 9050 and it would not fly after I used it one time. All I had to do was tighten up 2 screws  for the lower blades shaft
