Looks like an trex clone but not sure if its like to hk450 ones from hobbyking... question is don't you want to get a trex 450 and get your electronics separately.. this will be a bit more expensive but you are sure of you heli and also the electronics?... as am sure in the due course of time you will want to get a spektum or futaba tx and the other required electronics...
Again this is a matter of choice and cost.. with my experience I have had both good and bad experiences with clones... electronics I have had bad experiences, one of the esc just caught in flames once... but on the other had I had a tarot 450 sport that flew the same if not better than the align trex 450 sport but the tarot was fixed with good electronics... your call

Confusing item.  At one place it says Futaba 6EX radio, but later it says a "DS 6ch" radio.

It would be better to invest such kind of money on a 2.4Ghz radio instead (keeping with the present and future).

Agree with Anwar.... Its not genuine Align for sure, so clone only - you dont even much review of this clone either. Add to it, not standard electronics - right from Servos, Gyro to Lipo. Even if  you go for full metal HK-250TT/GT/MT and add decent Electronics (all Digital Metal Servos, original Futaba gyro, Futaba 6Ch 2.4g TX+Rx sans Servo, 3 lipos), it would be cheaper... Experts ? (Anwar, Aadarsh, Rajesh, Gaurav, sujju, lavneet, and my very near Vinay,  to name a few )? say what?

the biggest no no is the blanket over the real price. in west, tauts use such trick for upselling later on... so be careful...

hi guys,
yes definatly a clone trex.
it says at ad you can have a futaba instead.........it says see the difference in price..................
but its what you pay for............no details of the supplies tx so would asume its non computer cheapy....... as they always say computer tx to diferentiate haha
a good tx and a barebones clone would be far cheaper and put your own electrics in..
none of these come with top level electrics, also need to know it trex compatable or stuck for spares.

ebay gives the option to check with the seller.  :P

Better email him asking for details and other questions.

you can click on "ask a question", just below the name of the seller, and post your query. I guess thats the best way to find out if its a clone, or a Futaxa tx etc  :banghead:

Cheers!!!

Great to see back in full action Don. Praise the Lord!
Put an Assan hack in the Tx or donate the Tx to a lesser 'fortunate' in the hobby!  Futaba 6Ex is decent piece of hardware... Alternatively E-bay may fetch you around USD 70-80

I use all electrics.....but.......am not realy conversant electricly........is there a replacement transmiter board that may get my tx up again? :)

The Futaba 6EX is one of the most widely used entry level radios... it is unfortunate that you had a serious issue with it.  Probably Ripmax thinks that the shipping charges (up and down) plus parts and service charges all together make it not worthwhile.  Especially the manpower costs.  It also shows that it has a good price advantage.

hi mate
yeh that was about it................................................
cheaper to buy a new one and have another year warranty.............................
so that means after repair they would not re-warranty it ??  :'(
well looked up the hassan................
so do I pay for this and hope it works ok ......[is nothing else wrong in tx??] .....or ...........................I could get a hobbyking 7ch with 5 model memory for same price.............just needs setting up on computer instead of on the handset.........????   and much cheaper rx's.
my thoughts are...............I am vering away from heli's.....which was why I got the tx in the first place...nothing else seems to require as much fine tuning on the tx as helis.............. so more basic tx are not realy a prob.as in boats etc. :) :)

Hi vivek, this is NOT a Trex clone. Guys, everything Non-Trex is not a Trex clone!!

It is a Chinese company called KDS and they make very good helicopters (judjing by the Model airplane news Oct 09 article) and their performance out of the box that I saw in Hong Kong.
This is the C version of their 450 size and thay have an entry level S version (non metal) and another full metal SV version. The C version (as shown) is the shortened boom is an all metal highly 3D machine.
The radio with this machine will be a KDS radio and i doubt they will include a futaba radio . It comes nicely packaged with an aluminum case. From what i gathered from the guys doing insane flying in HK that these guys will revolutionize helis with one of the most amazing and econonical Gyros and Camera based Heli stabilization system called the flymentor. The enclosed guyro KDS800 is included and if you buy the flymentor, it is for $150 or so. Infact, Trex 450 fliers are getting amazing results with the KDS flymentor at a fraction of Heli-commands price.

The KDS 450C RTF in HK without the Flymentor is $350 and with it is about $500. Rs 34,000 is a big rip-off but still an awesome helis and way above in quality terms to the HK-450 and its likes!!!
