Title: New Micro 3D brushless Heli V977
Post by: rcimpulse on September 28, 2014, 03:02:29 AM
So I was in a rush to purchase a WL toys V922 (after understanding the limits of a 4 channel and using it on high rates)but came across this one - link to WLtoys V977 Power Star X1.

http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-V977-Power-Star-X1-6CH-2_4G-Brushless-Flybarless-RC-Helicopter-p-914247.html (http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-V977-Power-Star-X1-6CH-2_4G-Brushless-Flybarless-RC-Helicopter-p-914247.html)

My curiosity took me further https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLi0xK6QpJ8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLi0xK6QpJ8)
to find that it runs on a brushless motor and has a 6 axis gyro. A lot of people on other forums have said that it is one of the best 3D micro helis out there for its price. :headscratch:
Can someone who owns one of these let me know how it would be as an upgrade from a V911. I searched our forum and did not find anything on it.
I am really excited to get my hands on one so please  :help:

After flying the V977 for atleast 20 lipo packs over the last 10 days or so I must tell you this heli is an addictive learning machine. Very durable and the worst that happens in a crash is the main gear pops out (intentionally to save the rest of the parts) I have not tried 3D yet but managed to snap a loose tail motor wire which eventually lead to a cut useless motor. After great searching online and here some debate I went down to a LHS who happened to have a spare motor not only for the V977 but many coreless? micro quad motors as well. I was surprised and hope to be flying again tomorrow.
