its a fantastic heli... very silent due to the unique direct belt drive system and very light in weight... yes is damn to easy to fix the parts...
Installing the belt require some skill if not an extra hand... I have 2 of these machine converted to FBL and very satisfied with their performance...

These are mine..
The first one is a CH 53 Jolly Green on a HK frame with Trex Mechanics and 5 blade head with a quad tail and no stab system,
The second is a HK 250 in a paper Agusta body, made completely from scratch.

The third is a HK with mixed mechanics and a quad head, awaiting darthdrk Blackhawk fuselage.

My only heli - a 450

I make so frequent changes, that it never looks the same.

Have mounted the main receiver under the frame. Found it to be best place since when i placed on the side, I used to get glitches - which i could never solve.
Satellite is under the boom block.

Also the tail control assembly is from Tarot (pitch linkage) and ALZRC (Dual Push Tail Rotor Control), now the slop is minimal

I have seen that.. I think on helifreak... It is a very funny pic :-) ...by the way i killed my tdr recently..i was trying to flip it at waist height and it met mother earth.. it was just the first flight of the day and i did not even bother to warm up..took it in the air and in 2 seconds just flipped it while heli faced me sideways to me...i was too tired after office and did not have my full focus..so dumbthumbed it....i have now repaired it...will post pics of my crash

That was a INO Lab 261 HB, not using it anymore though.
Currently using MKS 8910A+

After seeing the big motor, am getting tempted to ask which one. Oh BTW I have the same configuration X 2 which you have, except that I am using cheaper 10$ cyclics and the main difference is mine are still in the kit

Motor is Turnigy H2223 3500KV
BTW those $10 cyclic servos are very good (if you are referring to the HK-933MG). Have used those in the past.

The satellite is a standard part of the JR/Spektrum DSX7 package. I dont think the original receiver works without the satellite.
The OrangeRx does work though.

I use only satellite receivers without main receivers but that is the case with FBL systems like vbar which support this. I use two of them for redundancy. Satellites are complete receivers. They lack channel parsing and spit data in serial format. I found this while configuring these for a microcontroller hobby project. Advantage is cleaner installation with significantly less wiring and without any danger of signal loss. These do not occupy excessive space as well. In flybar machines, satellites with main receiver provide redundancy and there is no harm in doing so. However, i do not think that it is absolutely necessary to use satellites with main receiver but i have not tried this.

1)Solo pro 180 3G - Free gift from HK during last christmas

2)HK 500 CMT with entire power train from Align. Quark gold. MKS bls980. Turnigy Typhoon 500 on castle ICE 75 ESC on 11T pinion.

3a)One on the left is a HK 450 V2 belt - Now has gy401 on tail Turnigy DS480 and 2836 3700KV Turnigy on 40 plush - 12T pinion.

3b)2 more on the bed  in the kit are HK 450 PROs TT. Will be upgrading the entire power train to align. 10$ Henge 933.
Planning to run one on 4S on the 2836 3700 KV Turnigy motor with 60 AMP castle ice lite and 9T pinion on 4S 35 C 1800 nanotech. MKS 8910 and Quark Gold
Another heli would be on the 2836 3700 motor on 12T Pinion and plush 40.  Futaba tail and quark black.
Pinions got from ready heli I guess for all the above as nobody sold the sizes I wanted.

Still Loads of work on the Helis itself. Dont know when I will finish the planes
