dear all,

This is a skyartec 250 size heli which started to fly

Today i had a tail blade breaking the holder screw and flying away.

Secured the screw with some CA and thread as the plastic had given away.

Now i find the heli is no more Head lock. The tail jerks and makes heli sway and unstable

Current issues with Heli
1. i dont have a tail servo connector holder
- No Horizontal stabaliser
- No carbon fiber rods on the horizontal to skid
2. CA and thread on one tail blade holder.

What make the heli jerk.

Tryed to increase the gyro sensitivity, now it is to and fro tail + jerks

Play around with the gyro sens n see what happens. Get a new tail blade holder. Even very minute changes in the tail can affect the flight performance.

Also, if you havent done the set up of gyro in rate mode. Try doing that.

Which model is it? If its wasp x3 flybar model 3axis , try to hold the tail rotor and spin the main blade, does it slip? If yes, tighten the tail rotor drive belt pulley nut. It`s above the main gear. Have you tried to adjust the rx? there are two dials. If yes, rotate both anti clock wise and set them at 2 o-clock clock wise.

I think there is some kind of binding there at back. Belt slipping maybe . Check for binding at the back

you need to counter balance the tail grips, this might be due to bad vibrations. Another thing is you dont have tail boom support that could make your belt loose. You mentioned about the CA on your tail, if your tail is all metal it is not a good idea to CA your tail.

Hey Manpreet,

Good to see you back with helis,

Check the following as all or any one of them can cause the issues.

1. Tail shaft bent
2. Main shaft bent
3. Feathering shaft bent
4. Tail belt loose or slipping as correctly mentioned above
5. Gyro gain

Also I have learned that jugards don't work well on helis as compared to planes, so replace all broken parts

Call me if you need any help
Take care

Hi Manpreet,

Time for you to invest in a good machine. Get a standard 450 size kit from Hiller, tarot or alzrc or trex.

U used to fly belt cp and then, went into planks.

Rest as adviced by others.(Helly flier is more experienced in handling/solving issues with these 250/ 100 or micro machines)

+1 doctor, Invest in a good machine, hiller is ok but still not perfect, alzrc is good, too tarot..

hi,

Can someone explain the reason of tail servo heating

Hellyflyer

Hey,

Tail servo heats due to following reasons

1. you have selected incorrect frequency from Gyro like 1520us etc. normally highend servos work on 1520us

2. binding - travel for the servo is not adjusted ie. the servo wants to move more towards either ends on the tail shaft however there is no more room for movement. which is why it starts to bind and get hot, you can hear constant buzzzing when this happens.

Call me if you need more help buddy take care
