go to any large duty paid shop..try for Syma, or Airhogs.. if not found, look for a good one with nice finishing, check it once from there, pay about 650 to 800/-Rs..back home happily..and fly it.. have nice flights..

And one more thing,

i have been reading about this particular heli lately, and in one of the mods i came across, the author, Matt suggested putting a 'fresnel' lense, or any other lense for that matter(eg magnifying glasses;)), at about 2 cms in front of the IR LED's of the transmitter. This, he said helps in focussing the IR beam from the Tx from a wider one to a sharper narrow one, which, he claimed, increased the range of the stock Tx to about 25+ meters.

This, I want to admitt, is something really unique that step out of the rest of the mods like removing flybar weight and replacing the tail rotor with one from the 'picooz' heli etc, that keep popping up every now and then.
So, what i want to ask is, Is this possible?...and Is their any other way to increase the range of these  IR Txs? :headscratch:

Bil.. you can add high power IR leds to the TX, by adding a transistor, as 2SC 914, or D 8050, or D 8550.. etc.. will increase the range.. can also add a infra red screen to fly in day time..will add an article.. :salute:

Hi Bilal,

Before buying Syma s107g I searched a lot in my own city, then Indian online stores and after that in big toy stores across Mumbai, but unfortunately I didn't succeed (may b I didn't reached the right store)

But one day my friend told me about its availability at a local toy store. And alas I got it...

I searched many online stores again in India, as u r interested,  but sorry to say they still don't have it here.

Its available here in city....

At the 53rd pre-flight inspection I noticed that one of the connect buckle was missing, I still decided to fly the heli.

Observation: It can fly with a single connect buckle without any problem.

And I am still flying it...

I tried for make the heli lighter by removing tail fin + tail decoration + two hollow metal pipes and also the weight placed inside the canopy in order get some xtra flight time but the disadvantage of it which I observed was that it really becomes difficult to land the heli at a desired place.

It gets so light that under the influence of its own air that is pushed downwards, the hover function seems to b nearly lost as it approaches towards the ground.

If u guys go for this mod, flight time increase wud b near about a minute, but at the same u will might face the disadvantage which I have discussed above.
