have not flown it my self but friends got them and they used to fly rexy and logo and all of them say it is the only 1 that can compete with logo 600 but for a small price

is interest so low for electric 600 in india or what is the reason :headscratch:

Hi Clayboy,

There is practically no demand for good helis, not just electric versions, in India. In fact you are the first person to even enquire about a 6hv.There are hardly any intermediate (forget advanced) fliers in India. Take a look at the heli section of our forum here, it is dominated by coaxials and even lesser toys. A smattering of HK heli talk is the closest to the real stuff. We brought compass models to India because I wanted to get good models. It didn't make commercial sense to existing vendors and so we decided to get them ourselves though we knew we aren't going to make money out of this venture. Plan was to test the market and add other heli stuff as per demand. The demand has thus far been very disappointing and that is the reason the product line hasn't expanded, the market for higher end stuff just don't exist.

I'm glad you enquired and would love to get the 6hv for you. But given the market, getting a small quantity here would end up being more expensive than if you were to order it yourself from any international shops.

clayboy

ok thanks for your reply

i am sad to hear that.

had a look at the atom 500 and looks way better then t-rex in my opinion and people that fly both say the same and 6 hv is very light and fly what i heard very good with small packs even in strong wind, logo 600 is bigger and lighter i think and need bigger battery pack to track good in wind through some moves ( so direct and poppy , need weight)

From what I was able to gather so far, there are only a few people I have read about who are doing any level of advanced flying.

1. Rajesh (aka RotorZone)
2. Roet
3. Harveer
4. Ranna (not sure if this gentleman is active at all any more!).
5. Adarsh
6. There is also one of the Warsi brothers in Mumbai, not sure what level he is at.

With such numbers, Clayboy would find himself in a very very exclusive club :)

I'd not call myself advanced. We are quite far behind by international standards. I made some progress in the first year, then flying time has been very limited in the next two years.  I think clayboy is ahead of any in that list. For instance I haven't heard of anybody doing a piro funnel which clayboy said he was practicing.

clayboy

ok rajesh I maight contact u when I am back in Pune.
I am tempted but I think I have a logo 700 coming soon and think I b struggeling with flying them all and it will be pricey to buy batteries for the logo. it is a monster. a comleate new class of helicopters
atually thinking of selling my tdr if some1 is interested

BTW I have decided I will not invest on a HK heli any more! If I have to crash I shall crash a TREX, but no more HKs >:(

clayboy

cool let me know when u got it set up

rexy is king of 450 but if u go bigger i would look in to gaui or atom as well, gaui have come a long way sins hurricane and there x line is really sweet and not to pricy

It all depends on how much one can afford! Helis are not a one time build, there are always crashes, And rexies get cheaper there.

clayboy

ok i thought gaui was cheaper or same as rexy but i maight mistaken

Not when there is helipross, and easy access to parts! Well, for the simple loops/flips/rolls I am able to do, I dont need a gaui or a logo.  :giggle:

RotorZone

Anwar is modesty personified, he is at the top of the list.

vinay

Hey Rajesh, is your atom or knight up and running? BTW the bls is on the way.

RotorZone

Knight is on the work table getting set up slowly bit by bit. It's almost ready.

vinay

Cool, want to see it fly fast.

;D

The main reason I did not add myself to the list if due to fact that I spend majority of my time outside India.

My goal has also shifted.  First, my goal was to be another "close to the deck 3D guy" (Szabo or Tareq as role models!) as fast as possible.  But then, the focus shifted to training etc.

Only last week did I try spending some time to catch the stick movements needed for piro funnels, and that is the first time I have been on a sim after many many months.  I have been doing them on the field for a while now, but by cheating (by doing a full piro at specific points in the circle, but not really following the cyclic stick through all the positions of the heli).
