Hi all,
Managed to squeeze in just enough time to record some rubber powered free flight videos for the
Rubber Powered Duration competition of the Sweepstakes.
1) The A6 Class Almost Tandem model recorded a flight time of 1 min 44 secs
Could have extended the duration but did not want to risk getting the model stuck in the rafters.

2) Also recorded another flight of the Double Whammy model with a duration of 1 min 21 secs.

Both these flights are well below by best duration so far of 2 min 44 secs. Other essential commitments on work / domestic front led to a severe paucity of free time. Managed to squeeze in a little time yesterday before the entries close.
Would be happy to answer any queries on the rubber power free flight aspects.
Do read the comments on the video link for details of flight characteristics.
Happy New Year to all ardent aeromodellers

Well done sir :salute:
Wow! Simply Awesome.
very well sirji
Superb :hatsoff:
An art worth learning!
outstanding !!
how do you transport these ?
or do you live just next door that you hold in your hand and walk down ?
Thanks for the appreciation.
Need to clock double digit times to get anywhere near world standards. Record on A6 is 11 mins.
Models are carried dismantled. Wings and stab is fixed on fuselage by tissue tubes that slot into wing posts.
This also allows for easy adjustment of wing incidence and stab angle.
Will post pics of carry box.
Well done sirji :hatsoff:

Glidiator....this is neat stuff.....pics would be great....best wishes for the new year.
Am now in Chennai and no access to a PC to reduce the file size of the pics I took with mobile to then attach in this forum.
Or is there a way to do it on this site.
Will be back in a week's time. Will post detailed pics .
Indoor free flight is all about minimum AUW. Lower the weight, thinner the rubber ( so lower total weight) and more turns can be done in thinner rubber -- so more revolutions of prop, so more duration.
For participation in the Sweepstakes you do have to put a dated (via newspapers) build log :( :(
Nice build sir....... {:)}:hatsoff:
Please do post plans and building techniques too....,
