Hi all members,
I remember posting a msg 2-3 years ago about how one of our local (50cc, 3D) flyers was taken aback at my 9" balsa HLG. He had never come across one before, much less seen one fly!

This may be true of many members.

So i thought of introducing new members to this inexpensive way of entering a great hobby.
Especially since RCI 2016 Sweepstakes has a small prize for HLG performance.

Let me assure you that the pleasure of achieving a long flight is far greater than that of getting a prize!

I'll start by assuming that you do not have ready access to:
1. Balsa wood
2. Foam safe glue.

Then what else can we use? (See pic)
1. High density thermocol plates from the grocery shop
2. Wooden seekh kabab skeewers
3. Reed sticks from the base of flower bouquets
4. Fevicol
5. Plasticine

We'll move on to better materials as this thread proceeds...

Then we stick the parts together...

If you look carefully, you'll see the build is not accurate enough...

Wow, awesome initiative sir. It's even more great that you're using readily available parts. I was wondering, if I scale up it a little, it might also be converted to a micro electric. Anyways, very good to see the step by step procedure sir.
