This is my first scratch built ornithopter powered by a toy helicopter motor with only throttle control. After 3 years I have retrofitted it with brushless motor and pitch/yaw controls.

Sorry, I dont have any documented plans or kits. Its made of scratch. This prototype will be further developed

can you post some close up pictures of the gears and wing joint. Also is this the same you posted here

No this is a different prototype. You can see the sizes from the two videos. But the mechanism and principle are same. This is a 4 bar mechanism. As the size and weight goes bigger flapping freq reduces. Depending upon your required flapping frequency u will need to design the gear box.Get various set of gears and try to get the required ratio with minimum number of stages (it will reduce friction). The gears i used are from an old xerox machine. This pic uploading process is hectic  :banghead: my pic was just 210kb. I will post a video instead later
