Hello Everyone,
There are many of us who like me claim to be Model Engineers and Live Steamers, but when one gets to see the achievement of a man who made live steam possible in his small garage in Nagpur using an age old belt driven lathe and his primitive milling machine, all our claims are dwarfed once you meet him and his amazing models.

Yes he is none other than Mr. Iqbal Ahmed, an old friend and Master Model Engineer, who of many things unique has also built the 5" gauge coal fired live steam models of Fairy Queen and the Simplex "Indian Glory", both capable of hauling 3-4 adult passengers.

He has in the past been honoured by the Shirline Craftsmanship Museum and is the holder of Guiness World records.
You can read more about him at http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/ahmed.htm

I have posted some photos taken by me of him & some of his creations from the Live steam fest held at the National Railway Museum, New Delhi, in November 2008 (dates on the photos are incorrectly displayed due to camera malfunction).

And here are some links to videos of his live steam locos taken by me on that day.
