I started out with Arora Bobni very many years ago. Want to build one again. Does anybody have a set of original plans that you can scan and copy ? Please. In return I can give youa PDF of a catpult glider that too was tfrom the same era and I had lost a few of those.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

can't help you with the plans - but was hit by a wave
of nostalgia seeing your post.
Bobni's sister ship (elder sister - didi) was called "Babix" if I recall
correctly
Didn't they also have the Sitni? I remember building many of those and a bigger one whose name I can't recall now.......
Too bad no one of our age ever kept a Bobni plan as in the original ones. VC the name you are trying to recall is perhaps "Chaser" had a ball with that one, The BABIX plans I have and will build one soon and post a video if I can. You can do a minute in still air and send it very high with a single loop of 1/8 rubber. Have lost a couple eventualy.
Still hoping somone has the original print that he can scan.

Bingo! It was the Chaser.
VC, I am glad you agree theChaser.
Kalyan, thanks for the links. Very Good ones. But for Nostalgia I am still searching for Bobni plans beit a PDF only. The original plans with "Arora" written on top or so.
We can build a Bobni , but that only brings half the fun of nostalgia.
Stumbled across this thread
Lots of good stuff here; especially for Mr. Iyer's free flight challenge!
Bookmarked :salute:
I have the Bobbi plans. Will upload.
Am in touch with Rishi Kumar, son of the founder of Aurora models.
He said they have discontinued the Bobbi as they now don't have the mould for the propeller and making a new mould is very expensive. I still have an original Aurora Chaser and a folding wing Spitfire catapult launched glider.
@glidiator,
Sir,
Can you wait for one day?
Tomorrow I'll try to draw up the Bobni plan from memory, and post it.
Then you can post the original...
Thanks and regards
Sure KK. It will take me a day or two to dig out the plan from my Aeromodelling cupboard which is in quite a disarray now.
These Aurora models did not give very long flights because we did not know about the TAN rubber and the rubber supplied with the kit could not take much winding.
With this TAN rubber I am sure they will give good long flights.
Bobni seems like a scaled down version of the Hangar Rat and will be a good ROG model with appropriate rubber and changing the wing ribs from straight sticks to a cambered one.
??
Check out this thread for the original Bobni plan.
Can make your own propeller from balsa or a plastic cup.
For nose hub use 0.7 mm spring wire.
Can make it from a coke or beer can opening ring. Will post pics of that.
Sorry. Here is the thread link

Will scan it to actual scale and post.
