Good Evening all of my Friends...all we know, yes, sure, trees and foliage are unavoidable content of a scenic display..it may be anything to anything, from railroad to war scenes...or a wind mill..anyway, a scenic display will not be full filled without trees..but, buying a model tree is far expensive..and most of the time, it must not be according to our plan..and idea..so, think about to making a tree of our own, in our idea, and look stunning and real..in any scale..

this is my "TREE OF HOPE", to display in Christmas  evening..i tried to collect some trees, but wasn't possible to attain, and was toy like, mostly used in aquariums..so i turned to my work tables..and a tree...

how much we can spent on a tree model..?  here only a 30 Rs...and what we need in hand at once..any expensive items..?  no..all handy...

diagram 1, 2 shows, a thin aluminum wire acquired from an hardware shop..you can use any wire, but avoid taking metal wires as they tends to rust..aluminum or brass wires are ideal..

second diagram shows, the basic material, is used to clean kitchen utensils, is cheap, costs about 4 Rs/- each...

collect two at least, and buy a two part epoxy putty...

roopeshkrishna

make a basic shape of a tree trunk, as your wish...
now cover it with epoxy putty...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now the trunk is ready...
now start to pinch the scrubber, from all sides and make it in to a sponge like thing...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now make some scratches and wrinkles all over the trunk, as you wish...

keep this unit for drying..then dilute a little white glue in a working bowl, and put the spongy like scrubber in it and squeeze excess glue..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

apply some glue all over the tips of the trunk branches, and fix the foliage over the trunks..
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now leave it under a fan, to speed up the drying posses...

now it ready..?  but lack something..yes...have to work...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now collect some saw dust from a wood lathe, or from a saw mill..in various grades...

apply some diluted white glue, all over the leaves structure....
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

place the tree over a news paper, or an old magazine, as you can reuse the falling saw dust later...

sprinkle the sawdust, all over the leaves, in various grades...

now its complete...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now leave this tree under direct sun light...until dry...

now its almost finished..you can display the tree at this stage, all to your taste and need...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now place some paint cans in front of you, as yellow, green, black, and black mixed with yellow...

start to paint with desired colours...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now paint the trunk and branch...mix some orange paint with black, to get a wooden color, then apply accordingly...make some black strokes all over to give a good real look...

now she is ready...but still lack something..?
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

yes..a base...cut a piece of plywood according to your need...and size...fix the tree on desired palce..apply white glue all over the ply wood...sprinkle the saw dust all over..leave it to dry...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

now time for display...its a close up..see how cool the tree is...

and i choose the scale of 1:72, and if you place a machine or a figure near to her..it will be more stunning and real...
Phoenix.........

roopeshkrishna

see how easy to make a tree..can make any tree in to any scale..shape and color....try to make some and add some realism to your dioramas...

Merry Christmas..happy New Year...to you all...
