All respected Modellers.. there must not be anyone, as a Modeller, or a person who loves modelling, who hates a chuck glider, or a free flight glider.. i was working so painstakingly on some aero model projects, and found some extra unsued coro sheets around me as bits.. so, i designed this for you all.. what materials we need..? a simple piece of coro sheet of 2mm, a thin balsa strip, or a thin strip of palm tree stick.. and yes.. a good cup of coffee.. ( at least 260 ml).. for great inspiration..

so we begins..
here is the template, and can take in A3 paper, then print out.. then make.. the wing span is 15 inches.. and video at day time.. follows.. flying nicely..

here after template, cut pieces all needed..

here is the stabilizer..
sand all joints with 120 grit paper once.. for great hold..

make a simple line in deep at the center line of the wing by a steel scale and ball point pen.. remember, do not slice the sheet.. then bend the wing in to a simple diehedral.. as shown.. a 2 or 3 degree is far enough..
attach all surface to relevent slots..

slice a very thin balsa strip, or can take a coconut tree leave strip for reinforce the fuse..
insert the strip in any of the straw as shown..

now the glider is complete.. paint it.. decal it.. just add nose weight.. and fly..

make it.. fly it.. enjoy it.. and be in sheer pleassure of free glidering.. :salute:

Reminds me of the Hamilcar. Nice work Roopesh, can you please post some dimensions on the GL1 picture?

Sir.. it flyes exceptionally.. Gokul is on it now.. and it flies over meters.. in a stable manner.. video later..
dimensions..

wingspan.. 15 inchlength and 6.5 cms width..
Fuselage....15.5 inch length and 6 cms width extreme..
tail satb.....5 inch X 5 Cms..
rudder.......5 cms wide and 8 cms high.. cool fly..  :salute:

thanks sir, it flies really nice and stable, can fly in wind too, you can throw is as  hard as you want by grabbing near the CG with two finders and one finger on bottom, this way throw it like stone and it glides up nice because of that KFm2 airfoil :).

and that's another one, its slow flyer indoor type.

both made of depron.
Even if i say halalujah, it aint fly...

Cod.. its nice gain.. and why yoy dont share us all.. its much inspiring.. so happy to see here these nice machines..

:)  i made/make gliders mostly to try out how such models and their capabilities, i have masters degree in software programming so no idea about aeromodelling, its just a hobby for me, like by flying these models i have found out some facts like biplanes can carry more weight, airfoils generate lift ( initially i always laughed on stupid bulge in the wings of planes when i see them :D, i thought why the hell they dont make it flat... ). jet models really fly like arrows while some gliders that fly well when throw slowly cant fly at all or stall on high speed throws mostly wings models. thats what i think now, may be i am still wrong as i was for airfoils :D
