i am building 24" rc hydrofoam here is some detail
length 24" width 15",used 5mm and 3mm styrofoam,3 9g servos 800 mah 3cell lipo,motor not decided yet laminated both side on decorative tape

main body,rudder and elevators made with 5 mm styrofoam floats and other parts made with 3 mm styrofoam

Simple plan and model coming along nicely.
You can decorate it using vinyl sheet strips.

Hydrofoam, eh?

original made with 3mm foam but i use 5mm for body,rudder and elevator
