Free Flight

This type of flying is well suited for seniors like me who cannot throw a hand launch glider without hurting themselves. It is called Tip Launch Glider (TLG) and the RC guys call it DLG, D for discuss.

Quick to build, but have to be very careful of the alignments for sure. One launches it to the left and it transitions to a glide on the right. Need to keep the wrist straight(no bank) and slightly upwards (not steep upwards launch). Quick , cost effective build from balsa. Give it a try and enjoy the flights .Hoosier Baby Daddy 24 inch span .

Thats an amazing build sir.
At the end of the day, free flight is the real thing. No room for error and every gram matters.
Great build and nice flight.

Will be checking out more of your glider posts!!!!

Glad you liked it. Do not go for perfect low weight in the beginning. Mine in the video is heavy at 52 grams using regular balsa. Concentrate on building it correct and transition. In my videos above that was all that I was concentrating on, build, glide test and transition plus DT works.
You notice it glides fast. Now I will work on the glide phase, slow by very slowly moving CG back together with decreasing incidence all without loosing transition already established.
Yes build one, ask question and love to support you in your fun.
