Have you checked the articles on the site Amaglider.com? Yes

Have some yellow Bird kits from Aurora Models I bought about 5 years ago. Guess it is the same bird.
Yes. Span probably 20". Aeromodeller article shows 13" & 20". Mine 15"

In fact when I saw that for glider duration competition the 2min was the benchmark I felt no one would be able to cross that as the record is just about a minute.
2 min was for towline! 2min/3min max been there for decades.
For HLG/DLG the goal was only 30 secs  ;D

The Rubber power could have been 2 mins as that I'd attainable.
For you, yes. But I haven't seen an outdoor rubber flight in 40 years, let alone one over 1 min.
Cant think of anyone on RCI who could, except Saikat (who may be nearly our age  ;D, and possibly kiran rc, an incredible talent who deserves our encouragement and support.

Just my thoughts.
Thanks for the response. Am still looking for some authoritative input on decalage for this model, under hand launch and/or catapult launch

Incidentally ÀMAI is planning the first Indoor Nationals in April in Delhi (Sonepat).
Would be great if we have a large participation.
Didn't know of that. Let's see how many register.

New Year greetings...
Regards

Edit: Guess I'm spoilt by my FF TLG that has adjustable incidence!

There is an article on decalage I read in the Indoor News and Views archives. Will dig it out as I have downloaded all the articles since 1960.
30 secs for HLG is also a challenge for the uninitiated.

And on the topic of Nationals the 2nd Nationals by ACI is at Udaipur 2nd to 5th Feb. all outdoor FAI classes subject to min participants in any class.  RCI members should participate. Check out the ACI Facebook page.

Have been motivating the ÀMAI to work towards coordinating an Aeromodelling Olympiad for schools on the lines of this competition in USA. It is the stepping stone for future champions.
