Okay , me too voted for quadcopter
but nothing beats a helicopter :) :giggle: ......whats the whole idea behind this poll
Why nothing beats a heli ? , quads can also do 3d , the whole idea behind this poll was to know , which multicopter is the most popular and which isn't .
ahhhh u dint specify so i asked lol ....thank curtis youngblood for ur 3d quad without him and heli parts it would have not been possible
Already thanked him , do you think that anybody in india would have that 700$ 3d quad ?
trust me i would put that money in a heli just for the complexity and technicality in flying ...the day they can manage to auto a quad i may think bout it ...lol thinking is all i will ever do but ...its a new quad i doubt anyone has it so early after release ...knowing the folks here i thinks they might go for his nitro version which has no release date yet
What doyu mean by auto a quad ?
Sir ji mar gai ya zinda hain ?
I dont find this to be useful..
I voted for all four.. I used all four and everything has its own merits and demerits...
All depends upon the need of a pilot... In my view please dont mistake me yaar..
No prob Arun
auto rotation ;D
It's already available in some high end quads
Could you post a link to a quad which can do auto rotation ..
I wouldn't have thought this possible unless the prop blades are variable
pitch
also since quads are mostly direct drive ... the cogging of the brushless motor
will pose a resistance to the props in the autorotation mode.
Search auto rotation 3d quad on google

TRICOPTER>QUADCOPTER>HEXACOPTER>OCTACOPTER!:-)
Hi
Arun... you are right, this poll is just a reflection about the usage of different systems in India, one really cant compare unless specifically stated, I started this hobby with quad... graduated to an hexa once confident with quad and earned more money... eventually did my masters in octa for redundency and safety and now i even fly dodeca or 12 motor setups whun I fly cameras worth lacks of rupee.
Yes..
By the way.. I was in a bit confision about the dodeca..
I have 2 dodeca copters as of now.. one is completed and another one in the building stage.. while flying with the normal one with smaller payload setup usually flying with a 5d camera..
Flies like a charm..
Using 1260 props evenly..
Currently trying to make the lift more and planning for a 18inch on bottom and 17inch on top as thr propulsion..
While doing that I found some variations while yawing... can you just share your setup..?
I am just litrely started with dodeca quite some months back only...
And planning for an epic now..
As of now working on the gimbal converting a 5d one to red epic compatible one with yaw dual roll system..
:)
