I had bought the Bonka 1300mAh 4S 75C battery from RCHLipos(part of Rchyper, for those who don't know). It is supposed to be one of best Miniquad Batteries. Before that I was using Tattus(1300mAh 4S 75C) and Dinogy(1500mAh 4S 65C). After having 3-4 flights on it(Bonkas) I must say I am completely blown away by the performance. Out of the three batteries the Bonkas have the least voltage sag.(The order being Bonka(Lowest Sag) < Dinogy < Tattu(Highest Sag)). The battery packs a punch until the end. Punch outs and rolls are snappier. I overshot couple of times :giggle: Also after putting it under a heavy load of the EMAX Red Bottoms RS2205 and DYS 5x4x3, it was pretty warm but coldest compared to the other two.
Did a few IR measurements using my new charger ;D
At 15.4V(Storage voltage)
Bonka - 27 milliohms
Dinogy - 36 milliohms
Tattu - 41 milliohms
At 16.8V(Full Charge)
Bonka - 17 milliohms
Dinogy - 25 milliohms
Tattu - 32 milliohms
(The values indicated are approx)
(The lesser the better)
If you are interested in more details on the battery some great testing and review has been posted by R/C Devotee on few batteries(including Bonkas) here (https://www.rcdevotee.com/reviews/mini-quad-battery-review-testing-1300mah-batteries-part-2).
PS: IR depends on a lot of factors like state of charge, no of times pack has been used, etc. The Tattus have been used quite a lot so maybe that's why it has higher IR than the other two. Bonkas have under gone just 3-4 cycles.
Also the problem with such high C rating battery(true C rated, like Bonkas) is that the voltage at the end drops too quickly. Same thing happened to me and I crash landed. Luckily the quad wasn't far away and wasn't too high. Normally with the other two batteries I get the low voltage alarm on my OSD 4-5 times before it gives a critical warning. On the Bonka I got just one low voltage warning and then suddenly a critical alarm and then it crash landed.
I will put up DVR footage comparing the sag on heavy draw soon!(DVR on the way)
Anyways I am very happy with this battery.
And also thank you to Kumaran Sir for bringing this wonderful battery and keeping the prices almost at par with the International Pricing
Would recommend this battery to anyone looking for serious performance!
Thank you himadri
Just what i needed....thanks
