see it in this way:
450 is an SUV, not so fast but very practical
250 is a sports car, very fast not so practical
u can go for either depending on your needs,
but u need to know how to drive first right?
if u have moved from planes to quads its like going from a bike to a car.
would u pick ur fancy suv or sports car to start off?
i think u should go for a learners quad like this
http://www.flipkart.com/taaza-garam-mini-x-drone-g-shock-quadcopter-helicopter/p/itme9ddthttagttk?pid=RCTE9DDT5WSQRBCW&ref=L%3A7836020213532675204&srno=p_29&query=quadcopter&otracker=from-search
its a mix of both the suv and the race car but very underpowered, it will help u gain knowledge of the sticks and orientation problems, train urself with it and when u feel u are ready hop into the sports car or the suv, it all depends on u
The 250 is for fpv fun and costs a bombshell to maintain and the fpv equipments is also not very cheap, 250 is not meant for LOS flying...
the 450 is for training, capturing footage and other drone like activities and not so fun but it is very good for LOS
start with a toy grade then move on to a hobby grade...

I got my first quad about 2 months ago. Got myself a 250 frame. and since I am new to flying itself. its been a handful learning how to fly it. I flew a friends 450 and wow. it felt so smooth. but it all depends on choice since i didnt want to fly slow all the time and wanted to get into FPV. just for the speed and small spaces. but there is alot of tuning involved with the 250. Which i am still learning. the 450 my friend has uses a kk fc and he only had to tune the PI controller.

Look both have diffrent aspects of uses. Dont go away by the looks only . The selection depends totaly on your needs and purposes and budged also. So please express what you want to do with the quad ? For all rounder  go for st360 from qk.

go for 360,, looks good and can be used for training nd speed.. the best deal for a 360 size frame right now is this only 400 bucks http://rcmumbai.com/products/st360-quadcopter-frame/ (:|~
even crashing requires a flight......

I Just wanna Fly a quad and have fun with it And in future I wanna have fun with FPV I have heard 250s are new trend

Rathi

250 is only for fpv to be honest :P go for an alien 450, u can mount ur fpv setup on it too, fells like a 450 and the fpv experience is really good.. u can mount ur gimbals and everything... that should be the best bet for u to get into fpv and that frame can gain some serious speed...

Angle mode much? Its much more difficult to fly a 250 in acro mode without barometer, gps and magnetometer  compared to a 450 which can pretty much fly itself.
