Bilal

Can someone please point me out the orientation of motors on this thing?.....whaich one goes CW and which one CCW

Arun bhai, a couple of close up pics of your quad would be really helpful

Bilal the pic posted by veloci is the key.... my orientation is the same as this.. make sure the board parallel to the ground and all motors are spinning in the right direction..
The chances are less but still check for any vibrations in the motor or arms.. will work for sure.. today I am making another frame and will upload a build log.. :)

Here is my build of the Micro Quad.
Used double sided tape, Hot glue and Cyano to hold things in place.
AUW is around 40g (Weighed it on a manual kitchen scale).
Lifts off at around 90% throttle, must be heavy. Charging the lipo now to give it another go.
Frame built using 3mm CF rods and Laminate as the skewers got warped during storage  :(
Centre plate - 1.5inch x 1.5inch.
Motor to motor distance - 100mm.
Used some pen caps to hold the motor as well as to serve as landing gear.
Will try to bring the weight down in my next fame design  ;D

Make it below 25gm for a 100mm frame...
Mine was 280mm frame.. and weighs approx 30gms
Used only super glue for the whole build.. lift up around 50-60% throttle

Fantastic veloci.

Bilal bhai you have any motors rotating any direction but only thing to make sure is diagonally opposite motors are rotating in same direction.

And one thing this will lift off ground at 40% or more throttle. So i my guess is lets give 50% throttle to start with. If you have mobile charger adapter with usb port, then please use that for charging. Its better to use than PC.

+1 satya, now I know what went wrong..........I had diagonally opposite motors rotating in the opposite direction, thanx

veloci: make it a bit lighter sir, this thing has an overall lift of about 46-48 gms.......spare some for pulling of loops etc :p.....use drinking straw for holding the motors....and foam plate (2mm depron I guess) laminated with cardstock as the central plate.
Am using frooti straws, the white colour ones as diagonal arms...they work fine

The motors are refusing to turn over.. :( I checked all the connections and the board binds properly even..

tried connecting motors directly to lipo and check? motors working?

Satya bro,
I rerouted the motors as you suggested and it had great improvement over the quad....the swift drifting I was complaining about is gone, but it still isn't lifting.....it barely leaves ground on full throttle
btw, what is the battery voltage on full charge?....lemme check that too

hii, what is the size of the props used are they 7*3.5 size.

veloci

Bilal, what is the AUW? The lipo reads 4.2v on full charge. BTW, the props are 51mm in diameter.

Bilal

Veloci, the AUW is 32gms, I dunno why this thing refuses to fly after all my efforts :(
one more thing....I've resently notised that one of the motors vibrates considerably on full throttle, do you think it could be an issue?....do I need to balance the props?

@bilal can you post a picture of how you have mounted the motors?

veloci

@Bilal, Posting a clear, close up pic should help in troubleshooting, as aniket suggested. My quad weighs around 40g but still manages to fly at 90% throttle. Check the prop directions again.

Thanks Veloci. I hope I don't disappoint you.............and myself..................

Satya - just a suggestion - Try and include pre soldered micro JST connectors with 9 inch black / red wires in future. That will make the assembly a LOT easier.

@Satyagupta: Yeah the motors work fine, but there was some stray solder drops on the circuit board.. I wiped them off and bound the board(solid red light), but the motors don't work.. Is there any arming procedure that I must follow to let the motors spin up? I am using the TH9X Tx. Tried reversing the throttle channel, still doesn't work.
